It is understood that the breed of live cattle for Shaanxi for Hong Kong is Qinchuan cattle, which are tall and well-proportioned, and the meat is delicious, especially snowflake meat. A few days ago, 36 Qinchuan cattle that had passed inspection and quarantine set off from Fengxiang County, Shaanxi Province, and arrived at the Hong Kong market through the Luohu Port in Shenzhen. This is the first batch of Qinchuan cattle supplied to Hong Kong by Shaanxi Province in 2021.

According to Yao Yalong, head of a registered fattening farm for live cattle in Hong Kong and Macao in Shaanxi, the forage for Hong Kong cattle is green silage corn and wheatgrass that are not added. The staff will take bovine blood samples and urine samples every quarter to test veterinary drug residues and animal diseases.

In order to ensure the smooth supply of live cattle to Hong Kong during the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Guanzhong Customs, a subsidiary of Xi'an Customs, has created a new measure of video supervision; Baoji Customs has created an innovative supervision model of "telephone guidance + video surveillance".

Xi'an Customs Customs Officer Sun Shihe said that Xi'an Customs will continue to improve the level of supervision, in strict accordance with quarantine requirements, high quality and high efficiency to ensure the stable supply of Qinchuan cattle to the port. (End)
