The event included the Old Rick Crossing Walking Race (3 km), the Dark River Round Trip Walking Race (3 km), the Longmen Lake Lake Marathon (5 km), and 21 foreign athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries and regions also appeared on the track.

In the race, the runners wore stormtrooper suits and hats and ran on the snow and ice roads covered in silver. After fierce competition, Kan Bin, a 52-year-old mountaineer from Yanji City, Yanbian Prefecture, won the championship of the Old Rick Lake Division, and he ran the whole course in less than 20 minutes. He told reporters that he participated in the winter marathon for the first time, and he felt that it was like a fairy tale world, especially beautiful, running was not tired, and running in the cold exercised his will.

In addition to the marathon, the organizers also held folk experience activities such as agricultural products exhibition, bonfire party, ice and snow marathon photography competition, ice and snow marathon literary creation competition, special tourism homestay experience, and 20 fun participation activities such as snow tug-of-war, flipped snow walking, and ice fishing competition.

Helong City is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, located at the foot of Changbai Mountain, enjoying many reputations such as "the hometown of longevity in the world". On January 21 and February 4, the Helong International Ice and Snow Marathon will feature its second and third races.
