Q: What aspects of your work will you focus on during the judging process?

Dong: First of all, I will look at the final product effect, and if it feels good, I will go back to the floor plan. I will focus on the details of the functional moving line, such as lighting, storage and various technical aspects of the closing relationship; then I will look at the finished product corresponding to the investment standard, the final effect plus the completeness of the overall case. This completeness means that you can't just look at one space, a good work should be comprehensive, and the performance of each space should be complete.

Q: What conditions do you think should be met for a Gold Medal work?

Dong: In addition to the two points I mentioned earlier, I think that the Gold Medal works should not only be the completeness of the expression of functional effects, but also the expression of culture or artistic conception should be higher than all others.

Q: What kind of award do you think the Nesting Award is?

Dong: The Nesting Award is now not only an industry award, but also an award with a sense of mission. Not only does it allow designers to have more display opportunities, but it also allows more ordinary people in society to see and contact what is good design.

Q: In the current context of the global fight against the epidemic, how do you think the interior design industry will change?

Dong: No matter how the epidemic develops, then living should be a top priority for us, and the interior design industry will usher in higher requirements for owners. Because the epidemic has made everyone really feel the importance of living, whether it is from the use of functions or from the spiritual point of view, society is undergoing tremendous changes. Therefore, the future is also a greater challenge to this industry, and the professional quality requirements for practitioners will become higher and higher.
