The forum "Li Jishen and the CPPCC" was held in Wuzhou

From 29 to 31 October, Zheng Jianbang, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and executive vice chairman of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, came to Guizhou for an inspection tour and attended a forum on "Li Jishen and the People's Political Consultative Conference" held in Wuzhou City, the hometown of Mr. Li Jishen. Liu Ning, secretary of the regional party committee; Lan Tianli, deputy secretary of the regional party committee and chairman of the autonomous region; and Sun Dawei, chairman of the regional CPPCC committee, met with Zheng Jianbang and his entourage in Nanning. Sun Dawei accompanied the research and participated in the discussion.

At the forum, Zheng Jianbang deeply remembered the major contributions of Mr. Li Jishen and other revolutionary ancestors to the establishment and development of the CPPCC system, and called on CPPCC organizations at all levels and democratic parties to study and inherit Mr. Li Jishen's fine traditions and lofty demeanor of upholding the leadership of the CPC, supporting the system of multi-party cooperation, caring for the reunification of the motherland, and devoting himself to the prosperity and strength of the country and the rejuvenation of the nation. He stressed that it is necessary to deeply study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the conference celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the 110th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution, take history as a mirror and face the future, unswervingly adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party of China, unswervingly adhere to the two major themes of democracy and unity, unswervingly give play to the role of the special consultative body of the CPPCC, strengthen ideals and beliefs, and strive to take action. We should make new and greater contributions in the great practice of comprehensively building a modern socialist country in the new era.

Zheng Jianbang hoped that the CPPCC at all levels in Guangxi would dig deep into the history of the Xinhai Revolution in Guangxi and Wuzhou, give full play to the unique advantages of the CPPCC in the field of literature and history research, attract more resources, and boost local economic and social development. The organizations of the Guangxi Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee at all levels should inherit the fine traditions of Mr. Li Jishen and other leaders of the older generation, earnestly strengthen their own construction and capacity building in performing their duties, and strive to build high-quality local organizations participating in political parties.

Liu Ning and Lan Tianli thanked the CPPCC National Committee and the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang for their long-term concern and support for Guangxi's development, and said that the whole region is currently deeply studying and comprehending the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech on "4.27", effectively implementing the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping's series of important speeches on Guangxi's work, solidly promoting high-quality economic and social development, and concentrating on building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. It is hoped that the CPPCC National Committee and the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang will continue to give Guangxi more guidance and support in industrial transformation and upgrading, the construction of new land and sea corridors in the western region, rural revitalization, and multi-party cooperation.

During their stay in Guizhou, Zheng Jianbang and his party went to the Guangxi District Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang to inspect the home of the Guangxi Revolutionary Party members, and attended the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between the Wuzhou Municipal Government and the Central Entrepreneurs Association of the Revolutionary Committee of the Kuomintang.

Li Huidong, vice chairman and secretary general of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, Huang Weijing and Liu Zhengdong, leaders of the autonomous region, and Wang Xiji, secretary general of the CPPCC Autonomous Regional Committee, respectively attended the relevant activities.
