On October 29th, the first member congress of the second session of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association was held. Mo Liangjin, member of the Standing Committee of the district party committee and director of the Propaganda Department, attended the meeting and made a speech.
The meeting heard and deliberated the "Report on the Work of the First Council of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association" and the "Financial Work Report of the First Council of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association". The meeting listened to the explanation of the revision of the Charter of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association and deliberated and adopted the Charter. The meeting also listened to the explanation of the election of candidates for the second term of directors and supervisors of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association, and heard and deliberated the "Election Measures for the Second Council of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association" and the "List of Voters and Supervisors for the Election of the Director and Supervisor of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association". The meeting was voted and elected to elect the second council member and supervisor of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association.
The first plenary meeting of the second council held during the intersessional period of the meeting elected the president, vice president and secretary general of the second council of the Jing'an District Volunteer Association. Ma Jiabin was elected president, Wang Youchun, Yang Yaya, Lu Di, Yu Minhua and Zheng Lijun were elected vice presidents, and Zeng Huajun was elected secretary general.
The reporter learned from the meeting that in recent years, the volunteer service work in Jing'an District has been continuously developed in depth, and the volunteer service cause has achieved a new leap. As of October 2021, there are 203,000 real-name registered Jing'an volunteers in the "Shanghai Volunteer Network", accounting for more than 20% of the permanent population of Jing'an District, and the volunteer activity rate exceeds 60%.
There are 19 municipal volunteer service bases and 119 district-level volunteer service bases in Jing'an District. The district has released more than 10,000 volunteer service projects and a total of 1.86 million hours of volunteer service. Volunteer service has become a way of life and a heartfelt value pursuit generally recognized by many citizens, and has become an important carrier for strengthening the construction of civic morality and promoting the construction of spiritual civilization.
Focusing on the construction of the five major systems, the Jing'an District Volunteer Association actively promotes the connotative and high-quality development of volunteer service in Jing'an District, and plays an active role in promoting Jing'an to become an "international Jing'an Excellent Urban Area".
