According to the Russian satellite network quoted by the French BFMTV tv station, France was hit by a storm, and trees fell on the railway, causing about 1,500 passengers in the Normandy region to be trapped in the railway station.
Rail traffic was reportedly disrupted for several hours. Passengers allegedly had to spend the night at the stations of Lisieux, Caen and Evreux as trees fell on the platforms, causing trains to stop.
A few days ago, many French provinces issued an orange alert.
