When the eleventh holiday arrived, we decided to take advantage of the autumn migration of birds of prey and continue to Baiwang Mountain to see birds of prey. The target is a large bird of prey - the eagle.
As we approached the observation point, several low-flying ordinary birds flew overhead. It seems that the common eagle has begun to transit.

The common eagle (English name: Eastern Buzzard, scientific name: Buteo japonicus, LC), a larger bird of prey with a body length of 50–59 cm. The body color varies greatly, and can be divided into three types: light color type, brown type and dark color type. Brown types are more common. Adults are yellowish brown overall, with a rounded head and mostly brown, a yellow thorax with few markings, a yellow belly skin, and more dark brown patches; the wings are wider and mostly brown, with no obvious wing windows. It is widely distributed in China, mostly migratory birds from all over the country. Feeds mainly on rodents, but sometimes also on small birds, frogs and snakes - from the Illustrated Catalogue of Chinese Birds
When we arrived at the observation point, we saw three birds of prey passing along." Grey-faced eagle! This was the first time I had seen a gray-faced eagle so close.

Grey-faced Buzzard (scientific name: Butastur indicus, LC), a medium-sized raptor with a body length of 39–46 cm. The wings are narrower and longer, and the tail is longer. The adult head is grayish brown with a white throat with a distinct dark brown midline of the throat; the wings are grayish brown. It breeds in northeastern East Asia and overwinters from southern East Asia to Southeast Asia. It breeds in the northeast to the Bohai Rim and winters south of the Yangtze River. Feeds mainly on small vertebrates, and sometimes also on insects - from the Illustrated Catalogue of Birds of China
After the gray-faced eagle, the red-footed falcon, the ordinary eagle, the sparrowhawk, one by one, three or three, flew over our heads.

I spotted three birds of prey hovering high in the air, and I took a picture of it as a Japanese pine sparrowhawk, which was not as close as the last time, but it was also a good record.

Then a sparrowhawk flew by, followed by a goshawk! Today I finally saw the famous goshawk and added a new bird of prey. But the goshawk was a little far away, and I just hit a shadow.

Today's birds of prey waited for almost three hours and did not see any kind of eagles. It seems that today's luck is not very good, and I have slowly become depressed.
Hearing that the Northern Eagle Crane of the Temple of Heaven had not left, and that the two days had been very stable, we decided to try our luck at the Temple of Heaven.
On the way to the Temple of Heaven, my mother checked the bird watching records of Baiwang Mountain and found that less than half an hour after we left, a black eagle had crossed the border! This news leaves us with a regretful end to today's Guan Meng.
