At about 4 p.m. on January 23, a car drove to the gate of the Qingyang Forest Fire Brigade, and the people who got off the car dropped a cardboard box at the gate. The sentry on duty hurried out to check and found that it contained a "big bird".
After inquiry, it was understood that the person who sent this "big bird" was a local citizen of Qingyang. When driving through the West Peak District, he saw that an eagle on the road was injured, and he thought that there was a forest fire brigade nearby, so he immediately sent it over, hoping to get treatment.
The forest fire brigade immediately organized personnel to conduct on-site inspections and found that this "big bird" had damaged one eye, injured wings, and could not fly. And through online viewing, it was preliminarily determined that this bird was a kuáng eagle, which is a national second-level protected animal. The brigade immediately contacted the Qingyang Municipal Forest Public Security Bureau and handed over the eagle to the Qingyang Wildlife Rescue Center.
At present, this eagle is still actively being treated.
