The 16th Shanghai Youth Art Exhibition

After more than three months of intense organization and preparation, the "New Youth - The 16th Shanghai Youth Art Exhibition", co-sponsored by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League, and co-sponsored by Liu Haisu Art Museum, Shanghai Artists Association and Shanghai Youth Literature and Art Federation, was officially unveiled in Hall 1-2 of Liu Haisu Art Museum. Under the general theme of "New Youth", this exhibition presents the creative style of young artists with four sections: the realm of heart imprint, the language of wooden paths, subtlety and vision. The exhibition collected more than 4,800 works from nearly 1,800 creators from 22 provinces, 4 municipalities directly under the central government and 5 autonomous regions across the country, except for Hainan Province, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and after the second round of careful selection by the expert jury, about 160 works/groups of works by more than 80 young artists were selected for this exhibition.

The guests who attended the preview event were: Han Chenqing, member of the party group and full-time vice chairman of the Shanghai Municipal Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Wu Bin, deputy secretary of the Youth League Municipal Committee, Xiao Yeying, second-level inspector and director of the Art Department of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, He Tingting, director of the Propaganda and Network Work Department of the Youth League Municipal Committee and executive vice president of the Shanghai Youth Federation of Literature and Literature, Ding Shi, secretary general of the Shanghai Artists Association, Jin Jiangbo, vice president of the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University and vice chairman of the Shanghai Federation of Literature and Literature, Jiang Mei, vice president of the Shanghai Oil Painting and Sculpture Institute, and director of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. The members of the jury of this year's Youth Art Exhibition are: Li Xiangyang, director of the China Oil Painting Society and consultant of the Municipal Artists Association, Zhou Changjiang, director of the China Oil Painting Society and consultant of the Municipal Artists Association, Li Lei, vice chairman of the Municipal Artists Association and professor of the Shanghai Theater Academy, Jiang Tieli, vice president of the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts and vice chairman of the Shanghai Artists Association, Zhang Lixing, vice chairman of the Shanghai Literary and Art Critics Association and director of creative planning of the Cultural Newspaper, Lin Mingjie, a famous artist and art critic, and Hu Jieming, deputy director of the Experimental and Scientific and Technological Art Committee of the Shanghai Artists Association.
