Wild sunfish and humans make friends every spring on time

According to the British "Metropolis Daily" reported on September 17, Animal lover Holly Jorgensen from Minnesota, USA, began their 5-year friendship after "looking at each other" with a fish in the lake. Holly has a very good relationship with the sunfish named Greenie, who will wait for her to appear at the dockside and let her rub her chin.

Holly recounts the first time she saw Greenie in 2015, when Greenie was quietly watching her in the water. Holly later discovered that Greenie would wait for her every day to swim in the lake and swim around with her. As their friendship progressed, Holly began feeding Greynie some bugs. In one video, Holly asks Grenie "Can you jump up?" A few seconds later Greynie tumbled out of the water. Holly said: "Greenie's behavior is different from other fish. I don't know why it looks at me that way, but it feels great. ”

The lake near Holly's house freezes every winter, but for the past 5 years, Greenie has reappeared next to the pier every spring when the ice starts to melt. Holly didn't want to announce the exact location of the lake because she was afraid Thatie would be killed by the anglers. Last Friday night she noticed a hook in Greenie's mouth. She gently removed the hook from Greynie's body, and Greenie seemed "relieved."

Holly says she cherishes her friendship with Greynie. "People always complain about no entertainment life during the pandemic, but I don't care at all because I have Greenie," she said. She even wrote a poem and a book about Greenie's story. (Compiled and reported by China Youth Network)
