High wall butterfly change! The story behind the debut of more than 160 works of art by women's prisons in Zhejiang Province is moving

Silver needles fly over, embroidering butterflies with broken cocoons; the paper is short and long, and the heart of the cut is reconstructed. On the morning of October 25, the Zhejiang Provincial Folk Art Volunteer Service Achievements Exhibition kicked off, and more than 160 works of art from the Zhejiang Provincial Women's Prison were publicly displayed for the first time. At the exhibition, pieces of classical and elegant cheongsam, lifelike paper cuts, and ingenious embroideries all tell us the stories of the redemption of those "lost hearts".

The works in this exhibition are the results of the special cultivation education of the "Silk Road Embroidery Heart" of Zhejiang Provincial Women's Prison, and the creators are all prisoners who are undergoing reform. In the past 10 years, Zhejiang Provincial Women's Prison has cooperated with the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Center to establish an experimental base for folk art teaching in prison, attracting professional teachers and volunteers all year round, and providing a variety of silk-related silk embroidery, tea ceremony, animation, paper art, vocal music, calligraphy and painting and other spiritual courses for inmates.

The whole exhibition is colorful, the 3-meter-long paper-cut scroll "Love on Paper" has made an excellent footnote for the professionalism of the grass-roots police during the epidemic period of "giving up the small family to take care of everyone"; in the Xiaoshan Lace "Proverbs" series, the creeds of public morality, virtue and morality are intertwined, and the strong desire to abandon the old picture and the new is raised; the embroidered long scroll "Spring Warm Flowers Blossom" unfolds a splendid world of "willing to live with the heart, the heart moves at will", and the frozen heart is reborn with the vitality and beauty of life... The most moving thing is a fiery red cheongsam, which is a wedding dress sewn by a mother for her daughter who is about to marry, stitched and threaded with love and blessing.

Teacher Jiang Ming, who teaches the production of qipao, is a well-known non-hereditary inheritor and professional skill leader in Zhejiang Province, and has made dresses for large-scale national events for many times. She introduced to the Tianmu News reporter that she was also the first time to enter the prison to teach, and in the process of getting along with these special students, she gradually felt the significance of the "Silk Road Embroidery Heart" education activity, and also infected the enthusiasm and intentions of the students. Jiang Ming said, "Prisoners learn these traditional crafts, have a skill, and can support themselves after they come out." ”

Art warms people's hearts, and a hundred flowers bloom all over the walls. Zhou Fan, deputy head of the Education and Reform Section of Zhejiang Provincial Women's Prison, said that through the "Silk Road Embroidery Heart" education activity, prisoners can discover beauty, feel beauty, and create beauty in the education of art, and realize behavior remodeling, spiritual restoration, and personality reconstruction, so as to break the cocoon into a butterfly, feather rebirth, and continue to export "a clear spring" to the society.
