The fifth generation of cross-talk artists after Li Dezhao, no one in terms of art can surpass Zhang Shouchen, and the only one who can compare with his old man is Ma Sanli!
The high level of Zhang Shouchen can be reflected in two points:

In the "Cross-talk Hundred Years of Grievances" that is widely circulated on the Internet, it is mentioned that Zhang Shouchen and Ma Sanli have a deep grudge, and the two are in the same situation, is this really the case? Why are the two masters so contradictory? I tried to explore it.
The "Hundred Years of Cross-Talk Grievances" says that there are two main points of discord between two people:
First, Zhang Shouchen looked down on Ma Sanli and said that Ma Sanli and Ma Delu were "too stupid" to speak crosstalk;
Second, the issue of generational division. Zhang Shouchen once asked Ma Sanli to demote himself to a generation, and Ma Sanli openly said, "He is at best my brother."

Let's first refute the two issues mentioned in the "Hundred Years of Crosstalk Grievances"

Second, on the issue of generations, that's even more ridiculous.
This involves a problem that the cross-talk community does not allow sons to worship their fathers, but the division of teachers and generations must be consistent with family ethics.
That is to say, Ma Sanli cannot worship Ma Delu as a teacher, but he can only worship artists of the same generation as Ma Delu as a teacher, so that the division and family affection are consistent.
That's why Ma Zhiming was not good at worshipping the teacher, because at that time, the people who had a generation with Ma Sanli were almost gone!
Therefore, Zhang Shouchen let Ma Sanli lower himself to a generation of people, there is no way to talk about it, you can't beef up the rules of the crosstalk circle!
If Ma Sanli had not been demoted, Zhang Shouchen would have had to be one generation higher than Ma Sanli, then he would have deceived the master and destroyed the ancestors, because in this way Zhang Shouchen would have followed his father Li Dezheng and master Jiao Dehai for a generation, and he would not dare to kill him in this kind of thing.
Therefore, Zhang Shouchen and Ma Sanli's deep grudge with water and fire is simply nonsense!
The truth is that the two are not estranged.
Ma Sanli had a very good relationship with Zhang Shouchen's two apprentices, Liu Baorui and Chang Baokun, and Ma Sanli had partnered with Liu Baorui and saved Liu Baorui's life;
Ma Sanli admired the spirit of Chang Baokun, and after the death of Chang Baokun to resist the United States and aid Korea, Ma Sanli went to the front line;
Ma Sanli had a very strong relationship with the Chang family and took the initiative to accept Chang Bao as an apprentice.
If Ma Sanli really had a big vendetta against Zhang Shouchen, Liu Baorui and Chang Baokun would not have come so close to Ma Sanli.
In addition, Ma Sanli himself said that he admired Zhang Shouchen's art and went to Zhang Shouchen's house every year on the first day of the New Year to pay respects to the New Year.
Of course, going to Zhang Shouchen's house for the New Year must have been 58 years ago, because in 58 Ma Sanli was sent to the countryside and did not return to the city until 1977; Zhang Shouchen died in 1970.
