Tomb of Wang Jingwei and Wang Jingwei

Wang Jingwei's tomb is in Nanjing, and when I was a reporter in Nanjing, I went to interview and investigate many times.
The tomb of Wang is located at the southern foot of purple mountain, a feng shui treasure in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing, a few miles southwest of the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, in front of the xiaoling tomb of Zhu Yuanzhang, the ming emperor, and near the tomb of Sun Quan, the eastern Wu emperor, the current Meihua Mountain. The Guan Mei Xuan (see picture below) that visitors can see now is the original site of Wang's tomb.

Wang's tomb only exists in name only, not in the tomb, because it was blown up by Chiang Kai-shek.
Everyone knows that Wang Jingwei was a traitor to the country, but in fact he was originally a follower of Sun Yat-sen. Before and after Sun Yat-sen's death, Wang Jingwei was both busy before and after, which shows his love for Sun Yat-sen. In his early years, he was a very patriotic and enthusiastic young man who planned an earth-shattering event: the assassination of zaifeng, the regent of the Qing Dynasty. Since then, his reputation has been greatly enhanced and the whole country has admired. It is really sad that he will finally become a sinner of the Chinese nation.
Wang Jingwei was born in Sanshui, Guangdong (now Foshan) on May 4, 1883, in Shanyin (present-day Shaoxing), Zhejiang, and for this reason, Wang Jingwei has always regarded Guangdong as his blessed land. Wang Jingwei's original name was Wang Zhaoming, the character Ji Xin, "Wang Jingwei" is his pen name.
But Wang Jingwei was a "power fan" who wanted to be commander-in-chief, but he could not win chiang kai-shek.
This weakness of human nature was exploited by the Japanese. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese grasped Wang Jingwei's mentality and gave him a chance. Wang Jingwei then defected to the Japanese and began to oppose Chiang Kai-shek's call for anti-Japanese national salvation and advocated a "peace movement."
The "peace movement" is when everyone is a slave to the country, and Wang Jingwei is a traitor movement. In March 1940, Wang Jingwei's puppet Nationalist government was formally established in Nanjing, and Wang Jingwei became the "Chief Executive" and "President of the State Government".
Since then, Wang Jingwei has become China's number one traitor and has been scolded by the Chinese people.
In his later years, Wang Jingwei suffered from "bone marrow swelling", which is said to be the after-effect of the assassination of Chiang Kai-shek in 1935.
From November 1 to 6, 1935, the Kuomintang held the Sixth Plenary Session of the Fourth Central Committee in Nanjing, and after the opening ceremony, the members of the Central Committee took a group photo. According to the historical records of the Republic of China, Sun Fengming, who had served as a former member of the Nineteenth Route Army, hated Chiang Kai-shek's traitor to the country, and used the reporter's interview as a cover to hide the pistol in the camera, mixed into the scene, and wanted to assassinate him.
As a result, Chiang Kai-shek left first, and Sun Fengming turned to get rid of Wang Jingwei.
Just after the group photo, the gun was drawn and shot at Wang Jingwei, who was turning around: one bullet shot into the lower cheekbone in the outer corner of the left eye, one shot through the left arm from the back, and one shot from the back to the sixth and seventh thoracic spines, hitting the intersection of the trouser belt, turning slightly upwards, and did not break the chest spine.
Wang Jingwei finally rescued him, but the bullet on his back could not be taken out.
In early 1944, his condition deteriorated. On March 3, he flew to Japan for medical treatment and the bullet was removed.
But the bullet was removed, and the illness was serious. But more than half a year later, on November 10, 1944, Wang Jingwei died in a Japanese hospital in Nagoya. There is a saying that the Japanese took him as a test object and poisoned Wang Jingwei.
According to Wang Jingwei's children, the situation was untrue.
Why is there such a saying, even with a nose and an eye? It may be that the Chinese people deliberately made it up out of hatred for Wang Jingwei, who defected to the Japanese, in order to please the people.
After Wang Jingwei's death, the Japanese military sent the "Hailong" plane to transport Wang's body back to China, using a small Nanmu coffin, buried near the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum.
The Wang puppet government gave Wang Jingwei a "state funeral" and prepared to spend a huge amount of money to build a "Wang Mausoleum." At that time, the drawings were all designed, because of the urgency, the tomb was built first. After it was built, the coffin was buried first.
After the Japanese surrendered, the Republic of China government returned to Nanjing. Chiang Kai-shek instructed to "relocate" Wang Jingwei's tomb.
The Seventy-fourth Army, commanded by Qiu Weida, dispatched engineers to carry out the relocation of Wang's tomb. It was planned to blow up the tomb at 12:00 p.m. on January 20, 1946. Later, because the preparation work was not yet ready, it was temporarily changed to the night of the 21st. After the body was dragged out of the coffin, it was sent to the crematorium on the side of Qingliangshan in the west of the city overnight to be burned.
In order to prevent outsiders from knowing the secret of the tomb, three days before the execution of the tomb bombing, between the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and the Ming Tomb, pedestrians were cut off and touring was prohibited.
Chiang Kai-shek blew up Wang Jingwei's tomb, which eventually caused a storm.
Only half a month later, the news of the blowing up of Wang Jingwei's tomb leaked out. Soon, Wang Jingwei's daughter heard the news and rushed to Nanjing from abroad. When he went to the Nanjing Municipal Government, he asked to see Ma Chaojun, and Ma Chaojun pushed all the handling of the grave to the Army General.
Wang Jingwei's daughter ran to the army headquarters on Huangpu Road and asked to see He Yingqin, but was blocked by the guards in front of the gate. Since then, she has come to the army headquarters once a day and is determined to see He Yingqin.
Wang Jingwei's daughter cried and scolded at the door, accusing He Yingqin of not taking away her father's grave, saying something like, "Nanjing can't be buried, let me transport it back to Guangdong to bury it, is it another obstacle to your business?"
At that time, many Nanjing citizens watched. Later, Xiao Yisu, one of the staff officers who blew up Wang's tomb, came up with a trick. He called a staff officer out, with two guards, wearing box guns. As soon as he arrived at the door, he came to a dismount: "You are allowed to leave immediately, otherwise, you will be guilty of disturbing order and protecting the traitors!" ”
Wang Jingwei's daughter was scared, and the storm of blowing up Wang's tomb was over.
