Guardiola's Manchester City suffered a crushing defeat in his 200th Premier League game in charge, reporting and free highlights; Wilfrid Zaha scored before Connor Gallagher scored points for Crystal Palace and participated in a red card for Emeryk Laporte

Crystal Palace created one of the shocks of the season, with they beat 10-man Manchester City 2-0, Wilfrid Zaha and Connagall to score with shots.

Zaha ran away on the palace's counter-attack to give the visitors a seven-minute lead, scoring his 50th Premier League goal for the club before he induced Emerick Laporte to pull him down before half-time and the City defender was sent off as the last man.

In the second half, Guardiola's side scored a good goal for their manager in his 200th Premier League game in charge, and they thought they had equalised when Gabriel Jesus scored on the back post, but the goal was ruled out by VAR because Phil Foden was offside in the assembly.

The decision seemed to allow the city and palace to strike back shrewdly in the final stages, with Gallagher firing to lock in the points.

As a result, City are five points behind Chelsea and third in the Premier League.

How Vieira's palace shines at Etihad Airport...

Crystal Palace entered this tough test after four consecutive draws, but many were impressed by their level of performance. They started out like a team with a lot of confidence in how to press Manchester City. It was this pressure that led to the shocking opening goal.

As Laporte entered no man's land under pressure from Gallagher and Zaha, City were carrying the ball out of the back.

Zaha rushed past Ruben Díaz and fired a low left-footed shot past Ederson into the far corner – the homegrown winger's 50th goal in the Premier League.

Zaha celebrated his early goals at the Etihad Stadium

Vicente Guaita stopped Rodri's snaps and João Cancelo frantically slammed the target as the hosts tried to draw, but lacked the city's free-flowing style.

In first-half stoppage time, when Zaha caused more problems for Raporte's speed and strength, City's situation got worse.

Zaha turned centre-back Laporte, who reacted by dragging the shooter to the deck to prevent him from running past the goal. Referee Andre Marina showed a red card directly – a decision approved by VAR.

Fuelled by this potentially unjust act, City tried to push the enraged Zaha to the ground as Bernardo Silva was yellow carded for challenging him with a setback, and Ederson joined him for being grumpy at halftime.

A fun encounter is just around the corner as City chase the match with 10 men.

When the break resumed play, Rodri scored his first shot in Jack Grelish's layoff, but the Hawks still looked dangerous.

Mark Geisser scored with a header after a free-kick win and Gallagher completed the job of about two players in an impressive performance.

City patiently tried, but Guaita was not tested on a massive scale as Rodri took another volley after a corner kick.

As Foden became more involved, the pressure on palace defence did begin to increase, with City celebrating an equaliser in the 61st minute. Or they think it's an equalizer.

Foden's miraculous cross was passed home by Jesus from a seemingly impossible angle, but as City waited for a kick-off in the midline, VAR ruled that Foden was offside in the assembly.

Jordan Ayo squandered a glorious chance and Canselo saw a low shot being saved as the game swung from start to finish, but the palace was more of a threat. And, boss Patrick Vieira is celebrating a second goal with two minutes to play.

Zaha once again perfectly timed, he remained calm under pressure and leveled off for substitute Michael Aolis, who fired for Gallagher and locked in points.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "We didn't win the game, we lost our first goal (at home in the Premier League this season) and after we did very well in the first half, I would say 25 to 30 minutes in the second game.

"But after playing 45 minutes 10-on-11, teams like ours need the process and get everything done to make people, the players, show their personality.

"But unfortunately a lot of things went wrong and we lost the game.

"We admitted goals early on, but how many chances do they have? They had that goal, but [in the first half] it wasn't.

"Crystal Palace came here last season under (Roy) Hodgson very similarly. We lost one game a year and we played another one.

"It's the same process. Changing the tempo takes time because the goalkeeper has been mastering the momentum, the long pass. They are good at possession. ”

"They have the strength, they defend well together, they can defend gaps and cover shots.

"We can't say we have a lot, but we had plenty of chances to score in the first half.

"It's even harder when it's 10-on-11, we scored a goal, were suspended and even Rodri had a chance to score once or twice. In the end, anything can happen to fight back. ”

Crystal Palace Manager Patrick Vieira: "We are proving that we are improving as a team. Coming to Manchester City, it's one of the most difficult venues in the Premier League. I'm very happy with the way we handle the race. We know it's important to defend well, and we did.

"We accepted the pain and worked hard, and in the end we got rewarded. It was important for us because we went to Liverpool and played very well but conceded three goals.

"Thanks to possession, we need to improve some details and today the team proved they were capable of doing it in 95 minutes.

"You have to have a little bit of luck when you come to Manchester City, but today [it] was more than that. Players put their bodies at risk to prevent goals and players from sacrificing themselves. ”

We have to get into season signings with Chelsea players on loan. Once again he was absolutely ubiquitous at the end of the palace's midfield, setting the tone for their intense oppression in the early stages, which led to Zaha's opening goal. But he is not only a player with strong main ability, but his quality is also very high. His goal shows that.
