Shen Yanbing, known as Mao Dun, was engaged in party organization and liaison work at the Commercial Press on Baoshan Road; his younger brother, Shen Zemin, was the "Red Professor" of Shanghai University on Qingyun Road at that time. Between the time of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China and the outbreak of the May Thirtieth Movement in 1925, the brothers lived in Baoxingxili on Baoshan Road for a long time. "After the Fourth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the party central committee organs and the party group Shanghai prefectural committee organs elected by the congress were selected to work in Baoxingli. My brother and I lived in a place that was only one step away from the core area of the Chinese Communist Party at that time. As the first street-level red cultural experience center in Shanghai, the red Baoshan experience center is located in the Baoshan Road Street Community Cultural Activity Center, with two floors. Citizens can walk into here and learn about the red history of Baoshan Road through a long corridor of "Red Culture Gene Traceability". For example, the first political organ of the CPC Central Committee, the Guide Weekly, founded in 1922, was edited by Cai Hesen, and the earliest distribution office was located in Baoshanli, Baoshan Road. At the beginning of 1923, the printing office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was transferred, and subsequently, the leading institution for the publication of "China Youth", an organ journal founded by the Chinese Socialist Youth League, was also relocated to Baoshanli, and the site was located in the first house west of Nongkou, which was Deng Zhongxia's residence. At the beginning of June 1925, the "Guohua Printing House" and the "Chongwentang Printing Bureau" located on Baochang Road were established, which was the first printing agency founded by the Communist Party of China in Shanghai. There is also the distribution office of "Gongli Daily" founded by Zheng Zhenduo and others after the "May Thirtieth Massacre"; the editorial board of the first daily newspaper of the Communist Party of China, "Hot Blood Daily"; and the distribution office of "Civilian Daily", the organ of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions.
From the New Culture Movement to the May Thirtieth Movement, Baoshan Road Street has rich red historical relics and spiritual wealth, and the magnificent years of Red Baoshan Road are engraved with the glorious course of the early Communists' heroic struggle for national independence and people's liberation. In recent years, Baoshan Road Street has fully excavated, protected and utilized the rich red resources in the jurisdiction, excavated the core of red culture, and explored the formation of a five-plate linkage system of "red position, red thought, red grid, red service, and red synergy", and the red Baoshan Experience Hall is the latest achievement in the construction of the red position. On this front, the "Red Treasure Mountain" comic strips, cultural creations, and red scene micro-dramas created by residents have a platform for centralized display.
Since 2012, Baoshan Road Street has continuously organized and created the series of comic strips "Painting baoshan Road", which has been launched in 8 volumes, not only professional comic strip artists, residents in the jurisdiction, primary and secondary school students have also picked up paintbrushes to depict the red story of Baoshan Road; the micro-drama "Dawn" rehearsed by community residents tells the founding process of "Axiom Daily", which has been staged many times since its premiere in July last year. Baoshan Road Street is also active in a "Chu Xin" propaganda group, recruiting volunteer teams from government agencies, community residents, and jurisdictional units through professional training to tell the story of the red ruins to those around them.
