Calligraphy Dead Wood Bamboo Stone Learning Mi Fu Wang Tingjun "Titled Youyou Bamboo Dry Maple Picture Scroll" Appreciation

Wang Tingjun, a native of Gaiping, Liaoning, a native of Yongji, Shanxi, was a calligrapher and painter. Twenty years later, the Jin Zhangzong Dynasty was demoted and demoted, and in his later years he was reinstated to Hanlin, and his life was mainly engaged in culture. He once lived idly in Huanghua Temple under Huanghua Mountain in Yuncheng, Shandong, and was known as the Old Man of Huanghua.

Among the calligraphers and painters of the Southern Song Dynasty, Wang Tingjun painted ink and bamboo similar to Wen Tong, landscape science, calligraphy and dead wood bamboo stone to learn rice, attach importance to pen and ink taste, not bound by the law. WenCai is known for its deep and strict poetry, and the seven long sentences are especially dangerous. Painting and poetry are closely integrated, away from craftsmanship, and the development of literati painting schools has a far-reaching influence on future generations.

In his surviving calligraphy works, the inkblots of the "Pai Mi Yan Shan Ming" are somewhat eroded and unclear, and some inscription rubbings are not clear enough, and the inkblots of the "Inscription Youzhu Dry Maple Picture Scroll" can best reflect his calligraphic appearance, with a gentle and distant aesthetic. The line pen inherits the ever-changing situation of the rice, but the writing is relatively rigorous, the brush stroke transition is natural, and the author's calm state of mind can be felt between the lines. The beginning and end of this painting are white, the line spacing is evenly proportioned, the pen is used to center the side and make, the dot line is plump and thick, the pen is white without dryness, the pen is stretched, and the steady and vigorous shows the familiar technique.

The inscription reads: "Huang Huashan Is True Hidden, and when he travels to the world, he feels vulgar and abominable, and when he uses a bald pen to make a bamboo dry maple, he will cook his own ears." It can be seen that Wang Tingjun's artistic pursuit, the vulgar and hateful mentality, the understanding of the brush used in painting, and the painting volume have become precious pen and ink relics.
