Since 2009, Wuhan has launched the construction of the "Talent Special Zone" in the East Lake High-tech Zone, and implemented the "3551 Optics Valley Talent Plan" to focus on building an innovation and entrepreneurship center with world influence. During the inspection, Li Jun held discussions with Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology respectively, and on behalf of the provincial party committee, thanked the two universities for their long-term strong support for Hainan's work, and exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between the two sides. Li Jun said that talent is the first resource, and the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port is thirsty for talents. Wuhan is a place where talents gather, and it is hoped that the two universities will give full play to the disciplinary advantages of famous schools, deeply participate in the construction of the free trade port, and actively mobilize outstanding students to work and start businesses in Hainan.
