On October 16, 2020, the 18th election of the Cardiovascular Disease Branch of Wuhan Medical Association and the first plenary meeting of the 19th Session were held at Shangri-La Hotel, Wuhan, and Professor Cheng Xiang of the Department of Cardiology of Wuhan Union Medical College Hospital was successfully elected as the chairman of the 19th Wuhan Medical Association Cardiovascular Disease Branch!
The meeting was presided over by Li Jufen, Secretary General of Wuhan Medical Association. First of all, the conference was summarized by Professor Liao Yuhua, the 18th Chairman and The Honorary Chairman of the 19th Committee, who summarized the work of the 18th Cardiology Branch, who reviewed the main work and a series of achievements made by the Society in the past 10 years under the guidance of the 40-word policy of "continuing education, community-oriented; population prevention and control, collaboration and integration; medical technology, innovation popularization; scientific research, enhancing strength; academic exchanges, and the rise of central China": the Central Cardiology Conference was founded in 2011. Li Jufen, Secretary-General of Wuhan Medical Association, highly affirmed the great contributions made by Professor Liao Yuhua, the 18th Chairman of the Committee, to the Cardiovascular Disease Branch and expressed his gratitude. Deputy Secretary-General Zhou Guojun announced the election methods and election discipline for the new term, and informed the selection process of the candidates for the 19th Committee, the candidates for standing committee members, the candidates for vice chairmen, and the candidates for chairman of the committee.
