Hong Kong, June 25 (China News Network) -- Long Lehao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and chief designer of the Long March series of rockets, came to Peiqiao College on the 25th to have close contact with Hong Kong teenagers. Long Lehao, who is over eighty years old, started with the theme of "Accompanying You to The Spaceflight", and the white-haired "Grandpa Dragon" easily and interestingly told the space story to the teenagers present.

Before the lecture began, a solemn national flag-raising ceremony was held on the spot, and the five-star red flag was fluttering in the auditorium of Peiqiao Middle School. Wang Yajun, director of the Corporate Culture Department of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, presented a mars rover model to Peiqiao Academy.

When he learned that the audience of the day included elementary school students, Long Lehao revised the content of his speech overnight. What is aerospace? What is a rocket? How does it send satellites and people to heaven? How does space teaching work? With short films and language commentary, Long Lehao solves the mysteries of these space problems for teenagers one by one.

At the end of the lecture, Long Lehao conveyed three messages to the young people of Hong Kong: love the motherland, study diligently; love science, quickly become talented; emphasize cultivation and improve quality. Every time a message was uttered, the teenagers repeated it with Long Lehao. Long Lehao finally showed a photo of the rising sun he took 8 years ago when he was swimming near the Wenchang launch site, and he said: I hope you are thriving, the sun is rising in the east, and you are thriving!

Deng Dongfang, a junior high school student at PeiQiao College, is a member of the flag-raising team. Deng Dongfang was impressed by the fact that space seeds are growing much faster than normal seeds on Earth, and she said that she thought that scientific research on space was out of reach for us, but now understands that this is not the case. "It feels amazing and incredible." She said. (End)
