This is a Ferris wheel equivalent to 42 floors up to 120 meters high. Speaking of Harbin Ice and Snow World, due to the impact of the epidemic in the past two years, there have been many fewer tourists and shorter opening hours, which is a pity.
Harbin Ice and Snow World was built on Sun Island, a river island on the Songhua River, located between the old and new urban areas of Harbin. When people come to Harbin for tourism, they generally choose to start from the central street on the south side of the Songhua River, and then from there to Sun Island and then to Songbei. Basically, it is the route of Central Avenue - Sophia Church - Songhua River - Sun Island - Grand Theater - Siberian Tiger Forest Park.
From the map, the Ice and Snow World is almost located in the center of this sightseeing route, so I don't know if it is for the purpose of overlooking the two banks of the Songhua River. If that's the case, it would be great, after all, the night view of Harbin is so beautiful, and the winter of Songhua River is so charming.
From the official website, it was found that the romantic city of Harbin has long been not limited to winter ice and snow tourism, but has started to build a four-season ice and snow project from 2019 and is scheduled to be put into use at the end of 2022, and the Ferris wheel is one of the important landscapes. Others include: Dream Ice and Snow Museum, Ice and Snow Show, Comprehensive Hall, Iceberg Hall, Mountain Stacking, Outdoor Landscape Square, etc.
I remember that at the beginning of 2019, we went to Harbin Ice and Snow World to play, and we were amazed by the exquisite ice sculpture art inside. In addition, there are many playgrounds suitable for adults and children in the ice city, and various service facilities are complete. Before we went there, we were worried about how long we could stay in the cold ice city, but when we went in, we found that we didn't have to worry about it at all, just rest assured.
Coming out of the ice and snow world, it was more than 9 o'clock at night, looking at the rolling traffic on the Songhua River Highway Bridge, we went to the central street to enjoy the night view. Later, I saw some friends who did not know what high location to take photos, in fact, the night view of the route we walked was very beautiful, but unfortunately it could not be like people, mixed in the traffic and could not see the whole picture.
Because I haven't experienced it myself, I don't know how far the 120-meter-high Ferris wheel can see. However, I felt that as long as I could enjoy the night view of the Songhua River Bridge and the Songbei Theater, I would be satisfied. Therefore, from now on, I look forward to the early end of the epidemic, and look forward to the day when the ice and snow world will open up with a new look, and I will revisit it again.
Sometimes it is funny to think about it, as a person who does not like the northern winter, I have always had a fondness for the colder Harbin, perhaps the city's literature and romance, or the city's tolerance and development. Anyway, Harbin has such a special charm in my heart, which makes me nostalgic for every season that belongs to it.
