Shen Chu, as a major minister of the Qianlong and Jiaqing dynasties, served as a waiter in the six ministries, a soldier's shangshu, a bureaucrat's department, and a hubu shangshu, and was known for his profound knowledge, great wealth in book collection, and special calligraphy. He served as the vice president of the Siku Quanshu Library, the Shilu Library, and the SantongGuan, continued to edit the "Shiqu Baodi", "Secret Hall Zhulin", and proofread the Taixue "Stone Classic". After his death, he was given the title Wen Ke (文恪) and was enshrined in the Xianliang Ancestral Hall.
