"Visitors" on the East Mountain: A side note of the descendants of revolutionary martyrs visiting the old site of the Huangqiaosong Uprising

　　In the autumn, the former site of the Huangqiaosong Uprising in Xiaoyaotou Village, Dongshan, Xinghualing District, Taiyuan City, welcomed several special guests - Huang Weijun, daughter of the martyr Huang Qiaosong, Wang Wanli, son of General Wang Xinting, and Zhang Xiaoning, son of General Zhang Zuyu and nephew of Comrade Jinfu. They are the descendants of the heroes who fought here.

　　At the moment of meeting at the gate of the old site, the three old people hugged each other tightly and cried with joy, and everyone present was moved.

　　A dusty history

　　Time back to 73 years ago, on the eve of the liberation of Taiyuan, Huang Qiaosong was ordered to come to Taiyuan to defend the city and serve as the commander of the Kuomintang 30th Army. As a patriotic general, he was dissatisfied with Chiang Kai-shek's civil war policy, and actively contacted the PLA generals Xu Xiangqian, Hu Yaobang, Zhang Zuyu and other generals to prepare for an uprising, and was later arrested for informing traitors, and was escorted to Nanjing with Comrades Wang Zhenyu and Jin Fu, where he was killed by the Kuomintang authorities. Before the righteousness, he faced the enemy's butcher's knife and wrote the "Desperate Poem" of "The horse is still a student, what is the matter of the tiger, do not want the fly to live, but hope that the art will die". For a long time, the feat of the Huangqiaosong Uprising was lost in the smoke and waves of history, and few people knew about it. Except for the mentions in several correspondences of Hu Yaobang, Xu Xiangqian and other revolutionary predecessors, there is no other empirical evidence.

　　Until 2018, when the Organization Department of the Xinghualing District Party Committee was working and investigating in Xiaoyaotou Village in Dongshan, it accidentally found the old site of the front line command post of the Eighth Column of the North China Field Army and the old site of the Huangqiaosong Uprising. After restoration and repair, the former site of the Huangqiaosong Uprising is now one of the important red education bases in Taiyuan City and a "punching point" for party history study and education of the Xinghualing District Party Committee, attracting party members and tourists from all over the country to visit and study.

　　Talk about the years together

　　After decades, the three elderly people are very excited to reunite in the land where their fathers once threw their blood to relive their stories. Surrounded by everyone, they entered the courtyard of the old site and saw the three-eyed old cave where Hu Yaobang, Wang Xinting, Zhang Zuyu, and others had secretly contacted Wang Zhenyu, the spy captain sent by Huang Qiaosong. Wang Wanli and Zhang Xiaoning, two old men, couldn't wait to walk into the old cave and touch the uneven walls, so excited that they couldn't speak.

　　Following the docent's guidance, they arrived at the newly built pavilion. The exhibition hall built by the Xinghualing District Party Committee displays in detail the historical materials related to the Taiyuan Liberation Campaign and the Huangqiaosong Uprising. Old photographs and faintly recognizable old faces are telling visitors about the glory days of blood and fire, revealing some of the long-hidden past.

　　Wang Wanli and Zhang Xiaoning and their party came from afar, traveled a long way, and spared no effort, and it was nearly noon by then. Although the elderly Huang Weijun lives in Taiyuan, he is the oldest of the three, and he is already 83 years old. However, the three people did not feel tired at all when they visited, and every time the docent talked about a place, they carefully tasted it with great interest, nodded their heads from time to time, close to the exhibits to observe carefully, and shared the history of that year with everyone. When it comes to emotions, I can't help but shed tears.

　　Draw on the strength to forge ahead

　　Coming out of the exhibition hall, there was a light rain in the sky. The three elderly people braved the rain with the visiting group of the Taiyue Branch to watch the sitcom "Everything for the People". The play vividly reproduces the historical plot of Comrade Jinfu being ordered to go to Taiyuan City to receive the Huangqiaosong Uprising but unfortunately arrested and sacrificed, the actors are engaged and vivid, and the old people are touched and unfinished.

　　After the performance, the three old men hugged again and again, holding hands and refusing to let go, and reluctantly saying goodbye. Finally, the old man Huang Weijun watched Wang Wanli and Zhang Xiaoning walk before leaving by car. Before leaving, she rolled down the car window and looked back fondly at this quaint courtyard again.
