For the past five years, Documentary filmmaker Jing Wang, a Chinese-American woman, has been filming the hardships of migrant delivery workers in New York. She has worked with the Bicycle Public Project to mobilize and organize immigrant workers to participate in the New York State e-bike legalization campaign. The documentary is the latest creation of her five consecutive years of cooperation with the takeaway group.
Ms. Wang said that most of New York City's roughly 50,000 delivery men are new immigrants who don't speak English, have a lot of work and are often isolated.
