The Neglected King Xiang of Qinzhuang: Inheriting the Past and the Future in the Process of The Unification of the Qin Kingdom

author:Interesting history

Qin Shi Huang's father, whose name was Yiren, was sent as a hostage in the Zhao Kingdom during the reign of King Qin Zhao. When King Qin Zhao's original crown prince died, he made his second son, An Guojun, crown prince. An Guojun had a total of more than twenty sons (and there were even more grandsons of King Qin Zhao), and among these sons, the yiren were neither long nor young, and they were far away in handan, the capital of the Zhao Kingdom, and both King Qin Zhao and An Guojun almost forgot him. Originally, the royal prince's visit to another country as a hostage was a guarantee of credibility, which meant that the country did not fight wars against that country, but the Qin state has always been called the "country of tigers and wolves" and has never paid attention to faith (in fact, other countries are the same), so the Qin state still attacked the Zhao state.

In this way, the life of the stranger in zhao guo was also very difficult, not only worried about being killed, but also the cost of living was insufficient, and life was very difficult. Lü Buwei was a big businessman, and after he saw the stranger, he thought it was a strange thing that could be hoarded. Therefore, after Lü Buwei persuaded the yiren, he helped him to go to Xianyang to lobby and operate. At this time, An Guojun was most fond of Lady Huayang, and Lady Huayang had no sons, and after Lü Buwei Xiao took advantage of her, Lady Huayang took the stranger to her name. Because Lady Huayang was a native of the Chu state, from then on, this stranger changed his name to Zi Chu. Soon, this Zi Chu was identified as the heir of An Guojun. In Handan, the capital of the Zhao Kingdom, Lü Buwei had a very beautiful concubine, because he was a Zhao Guo, and people called her Zhao Ji. After Zi Chu saw this, he asked Lü Buwei to give him this woman. Lü Buwei was originally unwilling, but thinking about it, he had already spent a lot of family property for Zi Chu, and what else could he not give up? So this Zhao Ji became Zi Chu's wife. Twelve months after Zhao Ji married Zi Chu, she gave birth to a son named Zheng, because the Qin royal family was surnamed Ying, called Ying Zheng. This Yingzheng quilt Zi Chu - later became the King of Qin, established as the crown prince, he inherited the throne and unified the whole country, called the First Emperor, this is the famous Qin Shi Huang.

There is a saying that Zhao Ji was already pregnant after marrying Zi Chu, so this YingZheng should be Lü Buwei's son, and thus decided that this Zhuang Xiang King was very snubbed. Is this really the case?

Zi Chu qi people understand things

In fact, Zi Chu is a very smart person. Still during Zhao Guo's time as a hostage, Lü Buwei felt that he was a strange thing, and he could obtain immeasurable profits in the future after running well, so he took the initiative to visit. Lü Buwei said, "I can enlarge your court." Zi Chu smiled and said, "You should first enlarge your own doorway, and then come to enlarge my doorway!" Lü Buwei said, "My court will have to wait for your court to be enlarged before it can be enlarged." Zi Chu listened, immediately understood Lü Buwei's meaning, and pulled Lü Buwei to sit together and have a deep conversation. People all say that people understand people at one point, and Zi Chu at this time is such an understanding person. Lü Buwei was a big businessman and very rich, but the merchants in that era had money but no social status, which was why Zi Chu let Lü Buwei first enlarge his own court. However, when Lü Buwei said that his doorway would not be enlarged until Zi Chu's doorway was enlarged, he immediately understood what it meant. Isn't that something that only a very clear person can understand? Not only that, when Lü Buwei said his plan, Zi Chu immediately expressed his position: "If your plan is realized, I am willing to share the land of the Qin State with you." This promise is to bind Lü Buwei with interests and let him unswervingly do this thing.

During Lü Buwei's lobbying trip to Xianyang with money, he left money for Zi Chu and asked him to make friends with guest princes in Handan, and what he did at this time was carried out independently by Zi Chu, and no one taught him. If Zi Chu is a stupid person and a, it should be a joke all over the world, is it possible that his reputation among the princes is getting bigger and bigger?

The Neglected King Xiang of Qinzhuang: Inheriting the Past and the Future in the Process of The Unification of the Qin Kingdom

In 257 BC, the fiftieth year of Zi Chu's grandfather, King Qin Zhao, the State of Qin sent the general Wang Gong to attack Handan, and the State of Zhao wanted to kill the proton Chu. The situation was urgent, Zi Chu and Lü Buwei took out a lot of gold to bribe the officials of handan to defend the city, and Zi Chu fled to the camp of the Qin army, and then returned to The country smoothly. King Zhao of Qin died in the fifty-sixth year (251 BC), and the crown prince An Guojun succeeded him as the King of Qin, and Zi Chu was made crown prince. There were six years before and after this, if Zi Chu was a cowardly man, would An Guojun still let him continue as the heir? Just because Lady Huayang was favored, she could not keep the position of Zi Chu's heir, you know, Zi Chu has more than twenty brothers, and he is not the only heir.

Zi Chu fled from Handan to being made crown prince, and Zhao Ji's mother and son lived in Handan for another six years. During this period, Zi Chu married his wife and gave birth to a son, but as soon as he took the throne, he made Yingzheng the crown prince, which proves that he never thought that Yingzheng was not his son. Not only him, but the entire royal family should also think so. Later, there were things that the royal family had doubts about the lineage of Yingzheng, but that was after the death of King Zhuangxiang, because of the competition of interests between the nobles and had nothing to do with King Zhuangxiang. There were also all kinds of misdeeds of that Zhao Ji, which also happened after Zi Chu's death, if King Zhuang Xiang could live longer, would this kind of thing still happen?

King Xiang of Qinzhuang was very accomplished

After Succeeding to the throne, An Guojun became King Xiaowen, and died three days after his official ascension to the throne, and Zi Chu succeeded to the throne as King Zhuangxiang.

King Zhuang Xiang did three things in his first year on the throne. The first is amnesty, which commends the heroes of the previous kings, gives preferential treatment to the clan relatives, and gives grace to the people. These first two items are the "routine" of the new king's ascension to the throne, and there is nothing to say. But the latter two were not something that every emperor could do, especially with the people, and if his son Qin Shi Huang could also give favors to the people after unifying the country, why did the Qin Dynasty perish so quickly? Second, when the Eastern Zhou Emperor and the princes plotted against Qin, the King of Qin Xiang sent Lü Buwei to go on a crusade and annexed the lands of Eastern Zhou, but did not cut off the sacrifices of the Zhou Dynasty. This is also very statesman's style of acting, annexing land for practical benefits, and retaining sacrifices without leaving a pretext for others. The third was to send Mengxiao to attack Korea, and Korea donated the land of Chenggao and Gong County, and the Qin State began to set up Sanchuan County. This point is of great significance, it means that the Qin State unified the whole country and pointed to the East China Sea and then barrier-free; At the same time, it shows that the demise of the Six Kingdoms has entered the countdown.

The following year (248 BC), King Xiang of Qin zhuang sent Meng Xiao to attack the State of Zhao and capture Taiyuan. The following year, Wang Yi attacked Shangdang and began to set up Taiyuan County. In the third year, Meng Xiao attacked the State of Wei, capturing Gaodu and Ji County, and Meng Xiao also captured thirty-seven cities of the State of Zhao.

Or is it all lü buwei's doing? It should be said that Lü Buwei played a role in this, but it was not the only decisive role, at least the soldier's charm for mobilizing troops could not be in his hands. The State of Qin was ruled by Zi Chu, not Lü Buwei, who was only a person who assisted the government. For example, the book burning incident, the suggestion was put forward by Li Si, why should people count on the head of Qin Shi Huang? Could it be that the main responsibility for this matter was Li Si and not Qin Shi Huang?

The Neglected King Xiang of Qinzhuang: Inheriting the Past and the Future in the Process of The Unification of the Qin Kingdom

Why does Zi Chu give people the impression that the nest is not doing anything?

This should be for two reasons.

One is that King Xiang of Qin zhuang reigned for too short, and the merits of two kings before and after him were so great that he was like the stars next to the moon, and the light was completely blocked.

King Xiang of Qin died in the third year of his reign, and before his death the State of Qin lost the battle, which not only did not allow him to fully exert his revenge, but also left a bad ending, leaving a shadow on his coffin theory. Before him, the State of Qin produced a very accomplished monarch, that is, King Qin Zhao. King Qin Zhao reigned for fifty-six years, during his reign to expand thousands of miles, the six kingdoms, whether alone or jointly, did not dare to take the initiative to use troops against the Qin state, and the Zhou Dynasty's national treasure Jiuding was transported into the Qin state, which meant that the Zhou Dynasty was officially destroyed from then on. King Zhuang Xiang's successor was his son, the famous Qin Shi Huang. Sandwiched between these two people, only three short years, it is already very good to be remembered, and it is really difficult for people to think about how many achievements he has.

The second reason is because of Lü Buwei and his son Yingzheng.

The relationship between Lü Buwei, Zhao Ji, and Yin Zheng gave people too much imagination, and it was concentrated that Yin Zheng was Lü Buwei's son. In fact, it is boring to focus on this in the study of history, and the most fundamental reason is still in the first emperor Yingzheng. His book burning offended all the readers in the world, and his tyranny lost all the hearts of the people in the world. However, his merits were unmatched in the entire feudal society, so the literati of later generations hated him for wanting to scold him and did not know how to vent the resentment in his heart, saying that he was Lü Buwei's son, which was a hundred times more serious than scolding people as "raised by a little bride". It was only in this way that the person who was originally named Zi Chu and later King Xiang of Qin Zhuang was bitter.

However, Zi Chu, as a generation of Qin kings, was able to play a role in inheriting the past and enlightening the future in the process of unifying the country in the Qin state, and made a difference, and did not waste his life.
