Yang Fuwei: Take root in the land and serve the peasant masses
Yang Fuwei, born in 1974, is a member of the Communist Party of China, a senior agronomist, and currently the director of the Jingning County Agricultural Technology Extension Center.
Since joining the work in 1994, Yang Fuwei has successively engaged in the selection and breeding of new crop varieties, experimental research and demonstration and promotion of new agricultural technologies in Jingning County Leida Agricultural Technology Station and county agricultural technology center.
In 1994, Yang Fuwei participated in the implementation of dryland wheat full membrane hole sowing cultivation, dryland potato pit ridge seed cultivation and other technology promotion. In 1999, he undertook the important work of the construction of the Qili Libao Demonstration Park, the Bali Red Forest Efficient Agricultural Demonstration Park and the Chengchuan Apple Seedling Breeding Base, and participated in the implementation of the Loess Plateau Gully Area Rain harvesting and irrigation project, the new vocational farmer training project, the winter wheat new variety breeding and other projects.
From 2005 to 2007, Yang Fuwei engaged in agricultural technology promotion work in Leida and Yuwan townships, improved the corn full-film double-ridge furrow sowing technology, boldly proposed and carried out autumn lamination experiments, and practice proved that the bottom moisture was sufficient during spring sowing, the seedlings were neat, and the yield of spring sowing was increased by more than 10%. In 2007, the gansu province dryland agriculture site meeting was held in Jingning County, the participants gave a high evaluation of the drought resistance and moisture preservation effect of autumn mulching technology, and since then, the autumn mulching technology has been promoted in a large area in the province, becoming a highlight of the development of dryland agriculture in Gansu Province.
In the past 27 years, Yang Fuwei has led all agricultural technicians to work hard, constantly innovated, and summarized the key points of dry farming cultivation technology of "heavy base fertilizer, autumn mulching film, selection of good seeds, fine management, smart protective film, magic topdressing, and rotational action", which are well known to the masses. He participated in the introduction and promotion of more than 200 new varieties of corn, potatoes, vegetables and other crops, cultivated 360 scientific and technological demonstration households, established 2868 mu of demonstration fields, led 322,000 mu of demonstration, increased grain production by 11.27 million kilograms, and increased the income of farmers by 3.381 million yuan.
In the promotion of agricultural technology for more than 20 years, Yang Fuwei has always insisted on taking learning as the basis for doing a good job. He has been rooted in the front line, "learning from the experience" in the field, learning from farmers, learning from colleagues with rich practical experience, and constantly improving his professional ability, which is affectionately called the "golden oil" and "living dictionary" of Jingning agriculture by the cadres and the masses. Whether in the field or in various technical training courses, farmers can always answer questions. Over the years, in order to promote the new technology, he went deep into the field during the day to provide technical guidance, and often worked overtime until late at night to do courseware and write training materials. A farmer who once participated in the training said that one year, Yang Fuwei trained everyone in garlic production technology, at that time, he held a garlic head for two hours, so that everyone had a deep understanding of the promotion and planting of garlic, and strengthened the confidence of farmers in planting garlic industry.
Since his work, Yang Fuwei has presided over the implementation of more than 60 various agricultural projects, undertaken more than 200 experiments, and trained 21,000 farmers. He has published 9 scientific and technological papers, written reports and summarized more than 1 million words. From 2004 to 2014, he has presided over the completion of projects such as "Research and Promotion of Ecological Regulation Technology of Apple Pest Mites in Jingning County" and "Demonstration and Promotion of Potato Whole Film Cover dry farming and water-saving cultivation technology", which won the second prize of Pingliang Science and Technology Progress; the project of "Gansu Apple Innovative Cultivation Technology System Research and Demonstration" project, which participated in the implementation, won the first prize of Gansu Province's agricultural and animal husbandry and fishery harvest, the second prize of Gansu Province's scientific and technological progress, and the project of "Angelica Hemp Pulcombi Disease Comprehensive Prevention and Control Technology Research and Demonstration" won the first prize of the National Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest The project of "Demonstration and Promotion of New Potato Variety Tianshu No. 11" won the second prize of Tianshui Science and Technology Progress Award, and the winter wheat variety Jingning No. 12, which was presided over and bred, won the first prize of Gansu Province's agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery harvest.
