Peru's public insecurity rises Sales of civilian non-lethal weapons have increased significantly

According to the South American Overseas Chinese Daily Network, Peru's National Information and Statistics Agency (INEI) recently said that due to the rising insecurity of the Peruvian people, it is expected that the sales of civilian non-lethal weapons will exceed 100 million so this year, an increase of 40% over the same period last year.

According to the Japanese report, INEI noted that 87% of peruvians feel insecure, and most of them believe they will be victims of violent robberies in the next 12 months.

INEI shows that Peruvian men account for about 70% of the total demand for civilian non-lethal weapons, and they spend an average of 3,000 soles on weapons, in addition, men prefer to buy more advanced weapons, such as injectors. Peruvian women spend an average of 500 soles on weapons, preferring to buy weapons such as pepper sprays and shock sticks.

In terms of the frequency of purchases, the Frequency of Purchases of Non-lethal Weapons by the Peruvian population is 1 to 2 times a year. In addition, the demand for civilian non-lethal weapons in Lima accounts for about 60% of the total national demand.
