On October 22, 2021, under the organization of the Academic Affairs Department of the Senior Administrators Training and Development Center of Yunnan University and the three students of the 33rd class Liu Liqin, Kong Lingbo and Zhu Zhigang, the director of the Executive Center of Yunnan University, Mr. Wang of the Academic Affairs Department and 16 students of the 33rd class went to Songming Dexin Experimental School to carry out public welfare activities.
Songming Dexin Experimental School is a full-time special school, currently the first school in Yunnan Province to integrate from the full-time and training of young children, primary schools, middle schools, enrolling children from special groups of 3-16 years old and some adults. Because such people's families are more difficult, most families can't even afford to live for a few hundred yuan a month, so most of the school's expenses (housing rent, water and electricity costs, teachers' salaries, etc.) are jointly borne by Li Zhixiang and Yao Guoyan, founders of the Dexin Education Alliance.
In addition, the school's daily diet is self-sufficient by growing vegetables and raising various types of poultry, and most of the children's daily clothes and daily necessities are donated by social benevolent people.
Under the leadership of Principal Li Zhixiang, we visited the classroom to understand the basic situation of the children and interacted with the children with love.
The school provides learning and training conditions for this special group of students: a rehabilitation training room and a psychological counseling room are set up to provide children with physical training and psychological counseling so that they can have a better and healthy body; in addition, they have also set up a beauty salon, a tea art room, a mother and baby care room and other practical training bases, so that students also have a skill.

Subsequently, we held the Dexin Public Welfare Symposium, and President Li Zhixiang shared the establishment of Dexin School and the development process over the years. He said that the original intention of the founding is to solve the problem of children's reading, so that every child has equal opportunities to go to school and receive education, the school has been founded for 21 years, at most there are hundreds of students, the most difficult time with more than 30 children can not even eat, uphold the sense of responsibility for children let him persist until now. With the help of the government and society, Dexin School now has two campuses with a total of more than 200 children, most of whom are in Longquan Campus, and the rest of the children with special circumstances are in Songming Campus for full-time management. Now many of Dexin's former children have been connected to public junior high schools and high schools to continue their education.
President Li Zhixiang is committed to making education truly equal, so that children can establish self-confidence, overcome inferiority, and face life positively and sunnyly; whether in good times or in adversity, President Li has never forgotten his original intention, adhered to ideals, strengthened his faith, and tried his best to give children a better living environment and learning conditions.
