If you see this letter, the son has already been sacrificed, please parents do not grieve, the son's sacrifice for the country is a glorious thing, you must be happy for having such a son. (Ma Zhanfu's last words)
It's a sad story.
In 1987, before the 1.7 battle in the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, the soldiers who participated in the war took photos and wrote suicide notes to their families, but the last words of a young Hui soldier, Ma Zhanfu, were very special, and he held a radio and shouted 26 women.
Why did Ma Zhanfu shout 26 brides?
These were his last words to his illiterate mother.
During the battle 1.7, the wounded Ma Zhanfu threw the explosive canister into the enemy's fire point and blocked the enemy's gun hole with his chest, killing all five Vietnamese soldiers in the cave, and Ma Zhanfu was heroically sacrificed.
He paved the way for victory with his young life.
After Ma Zhanfu's sacrifice, the regiment went to his hometown in Qinghai Province, where they wanted to personally hand over Ma Zhanfu's pension and recorded last words to his mother, whom he had been thinking about. However, the people of the regiment headquarters did not find his mother in his poor home, and after inquiring around, they found his mother who was begging on the street because of poverty on a street in Xining.
Facing the ragged, white-haired old mother,
All the people in the regimental headquarters burst into tears...
Ma Zhanfu was buried in the Martyrs' Cemetery in Yunnan after his death, and his family in Qinghai has always wanted to visit his grave.
However, due to the long distance and the fact that the family was not rich, for 25 years, no relatives went to visit Ma Zhanfu's tomb. Before her mother died, she was still worried about this son buried in Yunnan, and she repeatedly told Ma Zhanfu's younger brother Ma Zhangui: "When the conditions are good, you must sweep the grave of your brother, and then bring some soil back and sprinkle it on my grave!" ”
In April 2012, Ma Zhangui, with the help of well-wishers, finally came to the Yunnan Martyrs' Cemetery, where he bowed deeply to his brother. He has too many things to say to his brother, he wants to tell the shame in his heart, but also to tell the family's concern for his brother...
The hero took a picture before the four consecutive expeditions
Ma Zhanfu was born in 1967 to an ordinary peasant family in Hezhouzhuang Village, Tar Town, Datong County, Qinghai Province, as a Hui ethnic group.
He has two older brothers above him and younger siblings below. With many siblings, coupled with the frailty of his parents, the family was extremely poor. In order to raise these children, Ma Zhanfu's mother often took the children to the surrounding villages to ask for food.
Ma Zhanfu has been very sensible and kind since childhood, not only helping his parents to do farm work, but also carrying water and firewood for the elderly in the village.
After going to school, his grades were good.
He greatly admired Yue Fei, Wen Tianxiang and other heroes who had been loyal to the country in history, and he himself had a grand ideal in his heart.
Once, the Chinese teacher assigned an essay to the whole class: My Ideal. Ma Zhanfu wrote in his essay: Grow up to join the People's Liberation Army, as a mighty soldier to defend the country.
Because of the poor conditions at home, Ma Zhanfu, who had excellent grades, gave up the college entrance examination, but he did not give up his ideals.
The commando team took a photo before the expedition, and Ma Zhanfu was ma Zhanfu in the back row on the right
In 1984, Ma Zhanfu was honorably enlisted in the army and became a soldier in the 4th Company of unit 35176.
Ma Zhanfu trained hard in the army and was repeatedly rated as a pacesetter.
Ma Zhanfu was bent on serving the motherland, and later took the initiative to sign up for the First Commando.
The frontier changed dramatically, as the Vietnamese army encroached on the Sino-Vietnamese border and repeatedly carried out armed provocations. In 1979, our army launched a counterattack in self-defense against Vietnam. In 1984, China and Vietnam began the Battle of the Two Mountains.
In the counterattack against the Vietnamese self-defense, there were heroes such as Yan Long, Li Shuibo, and Li Qi, who were brave and good at war, and Ma Zhanfu admired them very much, and he himself repeatedly asked the battle to go to the front.
In January 1987, Ma Zhanfu's unit was ordered to retake Heights 310.
A few days before he was going to the front, he went home for a few days, and he couldn't rest assured of his sick and elderly parents at home.
During his three years as a soldier, he sent his meager allowance home again and again.
After returning to the village, he went to the village committee and borrowed eighty yuan to buy a set of clothes for his parents.
Before the battle began, photographers came to take pictures of the soldiers who were about to go to the front, and the soldiers all wrote suicide notes to their families.
Ma Zhanfu's suicide note reads:
"Dear Parents,
In a few days I will be taking part in the battle to regain the territory of the fatherland, and I will be the glorious First Commando.
Please forgive your parents for not consulting with you, mainly considering that you are old, afraid that you can't bear such a big pressure, afraid that you are worried and sad...
If you see this letter, there will be sacrifice there, please don't grieve, the sacrifice for the country is a glorious thing, you must be happy for having such a son, unfortunately I can no longer herd cattle and sheep for my father and mother, and I cannot honor my kind parents...
After I left, I asked my brother to honor my parents on my behalf, and there was Brother Lau. Younger siblings want to go to school and become useful talents of the country...
Goodbye, dear Mom and Dad! ”
Son: Zhanfu
Because his mother was illiterate, Ma Zhanfu held a radio and shouted 26 times.
A brutal battle was fought.
On January 7, 1987, Ma Zhanfu and his comrades rushed to the 310 heights occupied by the Vietnamese army.
Our soldiers fired heavily at the 23 war openings of the Vietnamese army, and many enemies were killed before they could figure out what the situation was.
Because of the existence of the Vietnamese machine gun fortifications, the Returning Vietnamese Army relied on strong firepower to try to stop our army's advance.
The demolitionist Ma Zhanfu and his comrades fought more and more fiercely, destroying many enemy machine gun fortifications.
Ma Zhanfu spotted the enemy's No. 4 machine gun fortifications.
Rolling and jumping twice, he threw the explosive package into the enemy's No. 4 machine gun fortification, killing three enemies in the cave.
Unfortunately, Ma Zhanfu was spotted by the enemy at a dark fire point.
Ma Zhanfu was hit by the enemy, and the blood flowed, and a section of intestines also flowed out.
Immediately after, he was shot in the head again and briefly passed out.
It didn't take long for Ma Zhanfu to be awakened by the fierce sound of gunfire.
He saw that the enemy's machine guns were still firing wildly at his comrades.
He shoved his intestines into his stomach and crawled hard to the enemy's dark fire point, throwing the blasters directly into the machine gun fortifications.
The enemy attempted to push the canisters out.
Ma Zhanfu pounced on it and used his chest to hold the blaster dead.
He turned back and shouted," "Squad leader...".
With a loud bang, the five Vietnamese troops inside were killed.
Ma Zhanfu was swept down the hillside by a powerful air wave and sacrificed heroically.
When the comrades-in-arms were collecting the body, they found that Ma Zhanfu's fingers were still tightly clutching the pulling ring of the blaster.
Ma Zhanfu paved the way for victory with his young life.
After Ma Zhanfu's sacrifice, he was posthumously recognized as a first-class meritorious person, awarded the title of Huang Jiguang-style combat hero, and his remains were buried in the Malipo Martyrs' Cemetery in Yunnan Province.
The regiment headquarters went to Ma Zhanfu's hometown in Qinghai Province, where they wanted to hand over Ma Zhanfu's pension and recorded last words to his family.
However, the people of the regimental headquarters did not find the mother he had been thinking about in his home.
After inquiring around, they found his mother begging along a street in Xining.
Upon learning the bad news of her son's sacrifice, the old mother burst into tears and slumped to the ground.
Her son was sacrificed, and her and her husband's greatest wish was to visit her son's grave.
However, the road was far away, and the family was poor, and the two old men finally left with regrets.
Ma Zhanfu's mother has always remembered her son buried in Yunnan, and before she died, she did not forget to tell her younger son that in the future, when the conditions are good, she must remember to visit her brother's grave.
After Ma Zhanfu's heroic deeds were reported, everyone was shocked by this hero like Huang Jiguang.
In April 2012, with the help of the military region, anti-war veterans and caring people, Ma Zhangui came to his brother's grave.
After 25 years of sacrifice, Ma Zhanfu finally waited for his family.
Heroes should not be forgotten.
The local government built a new house for Ma Zhanfu's family.
After Ma Zhanfu's sacrifice 32 years later, the former residence of the martyr Ma Zhanfu was officially inaugurated in Hezhouzhuang Village, Tar Town, Datong County, Qinghai Province.
This is the country's first former residence of Laoshan heroic martyrs, which has a model of the Laoshan combat sand table and the relics of the martyr Ma Zhanfu before his death...
The mountains and rivers are unharmed, pay tribute to every hero who defends his family and country...
