This week, the Queensland Government announced that Netflix's new partnership with NBCUniversal will be filmed in North Queensland, a 10-episode television series called Irreverent that will open late this year in the seaside town of Mission Beach. In recent years, Queensland has continued to gain international attention as a popular filming location, and this time it will shine in the spotlight again.
Queensland's stunning natural calling cards such as the Magnificent Great Barrier Reef, pristine beaches, lush rainforests, stunning inland and the world's top three sand islands have made it stand out in the Australian film industry. Also on the cake is the Village Roadshow Studios on the Gold Coast, a large southern hemisphere studio with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment that has always been popular with international production companies. Thor: Ragnarok: The new district of New York in the film is not in New York, but on the streets of Brisbane. There are also scenes taken at the Warnaway Show Film Studios.
Scooby-Doo: In this beloved movie, Spooky Island is set on Moreton Island, the world's third largest sand island, and the Tango Luma Wild Dolphin Resort is a 75-minute boat ride from Brisbane and is known as "Dolphin Island" because wild dolphins visit every day. Sandboarding, snorkeling, surfing, buggy, kayaking, sea parachutes, and lots of fun outdoor activities are a playground for kids.

Aquaman: Aquaman: A high-budget film about the Kings of Atlantis, mostly underwater, set on beaches such as the Gold Coast's Main Beach, Coomera, South Port, and North Stradbroke Island, the world's second-largest sand island.

Unbroken: In the film directed by Angelina Jolie, Brisbane's Fort Lytton National Park is reverted to World War II scenes. Fort Lytton National Park is the birthplace of Queensland's military history. This well-preserved pentagonal fort is one of several forts built on the coast in Australia in the 19th century to defend against foreign invasion. Between 1881 and 1945, this classic coastal fort was a key point in Queensland's military defence.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader: In addition to filming at warnerway Show Studios, the ship exterior in this fantasy adventure film was filmed at Cleveland Point in Brisbane. Cleveland is a must-see from Brisbane to North Stebuck Island, and the lighthouse and pier make it one of Brisbane's best places to watch the sunset.
North Stockbrook Island
Kong: Skull Island: The picturesque golden sand dunes at the beginning of the film, set on North Stradbroke Island. As the second largest sand island in the world, NorthSteadbrook Island has mint-colored waters, lush forest parks, rugged reefs, soft sandy beaches... It's all fascinating. There are also frequent opportunities to encounter wild kangaroos and see turtles, whales, dolphins and other "sea spirits" haunting.
Swimming for Gold: This teen film tells the story of a former elite swimmer. The film showcases south-east Queensland's well-known landmarks, including Brisbane South Bank Parklands, beaches and the scenic Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast.
Muriel's Wedding: A teenager with social awkwardness tries to fit into life in Porpoise Town, where the real filming locations are Surfers Paradise, Coolangatta, and Tugun on the Gold Coast.
Romance on the Menu: This Netflix romantic comedy is shot in Brisbane's waterfront suburb of Shornecliffe Pier, a very historic pier.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales: In this film, Queensland's stunning landscapes add to the wild and uninhibited sailing scene. The stunning views of Haslewood Island and Whitehaven Beach in the Whitsundays touched countless audiences. Of course, the film was also filmed on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, North Staybrook Island and other places.
Fool's Gold: Who in this light comedy isn't impressed with Hamilton Island, where starring Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson frolick? In addition to the epic island scenes, you'll also find the shadow of Port Douglas in North Queensland. On Matthew's "Bahamas Street," the lively Bar Central Hotel still stands on Macrossan Street in Port Dow.
"Big Mango" sculpture
Australia: Darwin in the film 1942, set in Bowen in the Whitsunday Islands. That's right, the bovine, the summer mango that almost every fruit shop in Australia sells. In addition to the fruit mango, there is a sculpture of the "big mango" that is known all over Australia. Coming here to eat mangoes and "big mangoes" for a photo is a must-check point for taking photos in Bovin.

Finding Nemo: The story of Nemo the clownfish takes place on the fascinating Great Barrier Reef. The United Nations World Natural Heritage Site, the world's largest and most extensive coral reef ecosystem, is home to many rare and spectacular marine life: more than 1,500 colourful tropical fish, more than 3,000 species of marine molluscs and more than 350 species of corals.
Nim's Island: The story of a lonely little girl who spends her days alone on a sparsely populated island. It makes sense that the film was shot on Hinchinbrook Island – it's the largest island national park in the Great Barrier Reef, with its pristine experience, winding coastline, lush rainforest vegetation, hiking trails and more, which is a paradise from all over the world.
The Island of Dr. Moreau: Adapted from H.G. Wells's science fiction masterpiece Dr. Molo's Island, it depicts an adventurous young captain who is shipwrecked and drifts to an isolated island in the Pacific Ocean ruled by Dr. Morrow. The filming location was chosen in the pristine rainforest south of Cairns.

Irreverent: As mentioned at the beginning of this article, the Netflix series will be filmed at Mission Beach in North Queensland.
Nautilus: Disney+10 sci-fi adventure film, to be filmed at gold coast country roadshow studios in early 2022.
Elvis: Starring Tom Hanks, it's expected to be released by the end of 2021 and expects Queensland beaches and surf locations to be revealed in the film.
Dive Club: This upcoming TV series was filmed in Port Douglas. Tells the story of an active group of teenage divers looking for a buddy who disappeared after a storm. Locations include Port Douglas Macrosan Avenue, Thala Beach, Wonga Beach and The Great Barrier Reef.
Tiger King: An American drama documentary that is extremely popular in 2020. Next, stay tuned for the protagonist Joe Exotic to bring the show to Queensland as part of a $19.5 million deal between the federal government and NBC International. The release date of the new season is not yet known.
