Summer is the peak of infection of a variety of parasitic diseases, Deng Yan, deputy director of the Institute of Parasitic Diseases of the Henan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, pointed out that after the flood, the water source in the disaster area is easily polluted, coupled with the decline in the resistance of the masses in some disaster areas, after drinking raw water, it is more likely to infect amoeba, Giardia lan's giardia, Cryptosporidium and other intestinal protozoa, and the clinical gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea and even mucus and bloody stools are the main manifestations.

Deng Yan suggested that the masses in the disaster areas, especially the masses in the resettlement sites: do not drink raw water, eat less cold vegetables, pay attention to hand hygiene, manage the feces of people and livestock, avoid contamination of water sources and food; if gastrointestinal symptoms occur, they should be treated in time, in the case of conventional anti-inflammatory and symptomatic treatment effects are not good, attention should be paid to screening for intestinal parasitic diseases, and after diagnosis, on the basis of symptomatic treatment, metronidazole and other drugs with anti-parasitic effects can be used for treatment under the guidance of doctors.
