After watching this movie for the first time, my heart was full of emotions. Maybe when we were children, we all needed friends like Bai Long, to accompany us to fool around, and to be able to stand up and protect us in the face of difficulties, but life has no script. The White Dragon is not chihiro's protector in that world, but Chihiro's appearance makes the White Dragon find himself. In order to learn spells, he was used by Grandma Tang and did bad things for her. He has lost his name, he has lost his memory, and he is the epitome of our lost self. That dialogue with Chihiro makes him lose his wings, escape the confinement of Mother Tang, and rediscover his former self. Finally saying goodbye to Chihiro made me understand that some goodbyes may never be seen again.
There is also a memorable character in the movie - the faceless man. Can you see through the loneliness under his mask? Chihiro first met the faceless man on the bridge of the soup house, passers-by were in a hurry but no one looked at him, only Chihiro nodded to him, probably this simple nod, warmed the faceless man's heart. Chihiro needs a medicinal bath brand when bathing the river god, and the faceless man conjures up a bunch of them for her, but Chihiro refuses, which is the first time the faceless man shows a disappointed expression. The Faceless Man loves gold, so he offers Chihiro a pile of gold, but Chihiro refuses. Love and must not increase the desire in the faceless man's heart, so he keeps eating, keeps eating. The more he ate, the more lonely he had been before, and the more he wanted. Money can buy friends, but it can't take away the loneliness in your heart. The man without a face is like a young generation who has just entered society, not being noticed and ignored by others, so there is a lot of loneliness hidden in his heart. In the end, Chihiro has the Faceless Man eat the pill that the river god gave her, which Chihiro exchanged for her kindness and innocence, which is the crystallization of kindness. The faceless man ate the pill and spat out all the food (desire) in his stomach, which I could understand as Chihiro defeating desire with his kindness.
There are also many educational characters in the film, such as Grandma Tang, who is a greedy bureaucrat who oppresses labor, while her twin sister Qian Baoba is very different from her.
