- Life is infinitely small, but it is also infinitely magnificent

Released in 2001, the animated film Spirited Away, directed by Hayao Miyazaki, has been critically acclaimed since its release and won best animated feature at the 75th Academy Awards. It was released on the mainland again this year, and some people say that it is the luck of this era to see this movie in the cinema.

After watching this movie for the first time, my heart was full of emotions. What made me really pick up this pen was Zhou Shen's "Dear Traveler", a song that has been on my list for a long time, but after watching the movie, the feeling of this song has changed again, so I decided to brush it again.

No one will really understand Spirited Away, because in different times, we may have different interpretations of this film. Maybe many years later, when I look back on this film review, I will laugh at the short-sightedness of the little girl at that time. However, a good movie is originally a gift of life, and every time you watch it it is like opening a new blind box, and you never know what is in the next box.

The film's story is set in the bubble economy during the Japanese grandfather hopes to wake people up and not let Japan go further and further down the lost road. At the beginning of filming, Chihiro's car drove into the fork, which meant that the Japanese economy also began to decline. Chihiro, also the adult representative of japan's bubble economy in that era, galloped on this untapped road, blindly exploring, greedily pioneering, eating "food" that he should not eat, and finally being turned into a pig by YuBa.

Chihiro's experience is the main theme of this film - self-loss, self-searching, self-growth. At first, Chihiro is a rude child who cries too much, but as the plot progresses, she becomes brave, strong, and courteous, and knows how to catch a water wheel for her friends that does not go back and forth, and what makes her change. Maybe Bai Long provided her with help that did not ask for anything in return, or the kindness of Grandpa Boiler, or the care of Xiao Ling for her. In general, it's love in that illusory world...

Maybe when we were children, we all needed friends like Bai Long, to accompany us to fool around, and to be able to stand up and protect us in the face of difficulties, but life has no script. The White Dragon is not chihiro's protector in that world, but Chihiro's appearance makes the White Dragon find himself. In order to learn spells, he was used by Grandma Tang and did bad things for her. He has lost his name, he has lost his memory, and he is the epitome of our lost self. That dialogue with Chihiro makes him lose his wings, escape the confinement of Mother Tang, and rediscover his former self. Finally saying goodbye to Chihiro made me understand that some goodbyes may never be seen again.

There is also a memorable character in the movie - the faceless man. Can you see through the loneliness under his mask? Chihiro first met the faceless man on the bridge of the soup house, passers-by were in a hurry but no one looked at him, only Chihiro nodded to him, probably this simple nod, warmed the faceless man's heart. Chihiro needs a medicinal bath brand when bathing the river god, and the faceless man conjures up a bunch of them for her, but Chihiro refuses, which is the first time the faceless man shows a disappointed expression. The Faceless Man loves gold, so he offers Chihiro a pile of gold, but Chihiro refuses. Love and must not increase the desire in the faceless man's heart, so he keeps eating, keeps eating. The more he ate, the more lonely he had been before, and the more he wanted. Money can buy friends, but it can't take away the loneliness in your heart. The man without a face is like a young generation who has just entered society, not being noticed and ignored by others, so there is a lot of loneliness hidden in his heart. Once he meets someone who is good to him, he desperately exports the love that he cannot exert, but after being rejected, this love begins to deform. In the end, Chihiro has the Faceless Man eat the pill that the river god gave her, which Chihiro exchanged for her kindness and innocence, which is the crystallization of kindness. The faceless man ate the pill and spat out all the food (desire) in his stomach, which I could understand as Chihiro defeating desire with his kindness.

There are also many educational characters in the film, such as Grandma Tang, who is a greedy bureaucrat who oppresses labor, while her twin sister Qian Baoba is very different from her. The "big children" were the greenhouse children who were spoiled by their parents in that era, and their parents gave them meticulous care, but forgot that what they needed most was to break into the rivers and lakes by themselves. Grandpa is an oppressed working man, who can have three heads and six arms at an old age, and runs around the job every day. Xiaoling was a thrifty and thrifty youth of that era, but her inner world had an infinite yearning for the unknown.

While watching the movie, I remembered the name of the movie , "Spirited Away". Chihiro is supposed to be a lost us, and chihiro's meaning is a million times of searching, only to find the former self. Each of us is not Chihiro, each of us does not have such a journey, in fact, the road that Chihiro has traveled is also the road we have walked, we have changed from the initial timidity and cowardice to brave and strong. In the process of self-confusion, we are constantly looking for ourselves, looking for ourselves on the road of self-insignificance. Along the way, we have gained affection, friendship, and love, and one of our small actions may change others and even help them find their former selves.

"Spirited Away" film review

The road of life is like the water wheel that does not go back and forth, there will be someone who will come down halfway down, and someone will accompany you through the whole journey. When you grow up, there are always times when you are lost, even if you are nostalgic, don't look back, because there is no wind and waves, no loneliness, and sadness, and hope. When we were children, we envied Chihiro's travels, but that was the path we had walked. On this path of life, we are all travelers...

I hope that your eyes that have seen various landscapes are still clear and bright
