But the little monk tied a rope to the fish, frogs and snakes, and then let them go, and watched the little animals struggle, and he found it fun and enjoyed it.
The old monk saw the disciple's actions in his eyes, and instead of directly reprimanding him, he chose another way of education: taking advantage of the little monk's sleep and tying a stone to his back. When the little monk woke up, he found himself carrying a large stone, which was very uncomfortable, and asked the master to untie it.
At this time, Master spoke: "Fish, frogs, and snakes feel the same as you, right?" Find them, let them all go, then I will let them go for you, as long as any one dies, you will tie the stone to your heart for the rest of your life. ”
Mencius put forward the theory of sexual goodness, Xunzi put forward the opposite theory of sexual evil, and the debate between good and evil in human nature has been a proposition for thousands of years. This is actually a false proposition. This way of indoctrination is like Du Fu's poem: "Sneak into the night with the wind, and the moisturizer is silent." ”

The girl was heart sick and weak, and her mother escorted her to the temple to rest.
She was young and lovely, and he was fiery. Two people, from the initial suppression and resistance, and finally compromised with human instincts, entangled in one place. They were drying firewood between the sun and the mountains. While the old monk was asleep, he slipped into her bed. They rowed out in the middle of the night and felt the joy of fish and water under the stars.
The two became intimate, playing and playing with various small pleasures. The old monk did not reprimand him, but just smiled and watched. He understood the nature of human nature: "Men and women who eat and drink, the great desire of man is preserved." ”
When the old monk sensed that the situation had reached the point of breaking the vows and that the girl's physical condition had recovered, he ordered her to leave. At this time, the young monk had fallen into the sweetness of love and could not bear the pain of parting.
"Attachment is born of desire, and killing intention is contained in obsession."
This is the old monk's advice, and the young monk who has been swallowed up by desire is confused, where can he still listen? After the girl left, the young monk tossed and turned, tormented day and night, and could not bear the pain of longing. In the end, he carried a bottle of Buddha statue and left the temple to experience the happiness of the world.

Master asked the disciple if he had lived happily in the world all these years. In this regard, the prime-aged monk was miserable, he was full of anger, his language was rough, and although he committed the crime of murder, he did not realize his own fault.
"I was in so much pain that the only thing I was guilty of was that I loved her too much. All I wanted was the woman, but she ran away with someone else. How can this be, Ming ming said that he only loves me. ”
This is the confusion of the prime-aged monk.
"This is how secular life is, don't you know?" It is always necessary to let go of what you have. Don't you understand what you like, and it is possible that others like it? ”
This is the enlightenment of the old monk.
The prime-aged monk could not hear him, and he was overwhelmed by anger, remorse, and torment. He failed to understand that the love in his mouth was actually possessiveness with conditions attached. From a secular point of view, the girl's betrayal provoked his murderous intent. Thinking deeply, it was his own failure to understand the word "impermanence." Everything in the world is changing.
The old monk asked the disciples to carve the Heart Sutra so that they could calm their minds.
Eventually, the police found the temple, arrested the prime-aged monk, and passed the law to discipline him.

The door of the temple was opened for the fourth time, and in the ice and snow, the monk returned from the world again, and he had entered middle age from his prime.
The old monk had died, and the disciple made materials from the place, chiseled out a bottle of Buddha statue with ice cubes, and embedded the master's relics into the Buddha statue seal hall.
He dug a hole in the ice in front of the temple, drew water to wash his face, and then began to practice martial arts and cultivate his mind.
One day, a young woman came and decided to abandon the child at the temple. When she left, she fell into an ice cave and died in it. From the Buddhist theory of causation, the evil cause of a woman abandoning a child bears the evil consequence of her own death. In the middle-aged monk, he believed that the ice cave he had dug had caused the woman's death. He disciplined himself by dragging stone plates, holding Buddha statues in his hands, and climbing thorny mountain paths.
This is actually conveying the idea that if you have no intention of committing it, you also need to repent.
The temple's courtyard door is opened for the fifth time, recreating the beauty of spring flowers.
The abandoned little monk has also grown up, and he is the same as the little monk of that year. He played freely in the landscape and water, playing with small animals, waiting for master's enlightenment.
Heaven and earth are everywhere, the four seasons are endlessly circulating, good and evil in the world, there is a cycle of cause and effect, this is spring, summer, autumn, winter and spring.
One lifetime, one autumn of grass and trees, is a process of continuous cultivation of the mind, so as to eliminate the inherent cruelty and evil of human nature, so that it tends to be true, good, and beautiful.
Life is infinite from generation to generation, and in the cycle of repetition, the next generation is educated with enlightenment and conscience. In the cycle of cause and effect, life goes on and on from generation to generation.
