Princess Gulun Duanmin, born to Prince Jidu of Jian, was the grandnephew of Nurhaci, the grandson of her half-brother Shulhaqi the Prince of Zhuang, and the second son of Zilharang the Prince of Zhengxian. Her biological mother was Prince Jian's concubine Fujigit of the Borjigit clan, and the younger sister of Empress Xiaohui (the second empress dowager of Shunzhi). Jian Fujin's sister married into the capital two years earlier and became Ji Du's wife.

Princess Duanmin was born in June of the tenth year of Shunzhi (1653) as the second daughter of Prince Jian, who had previously had one son (the eldest son, Mo Sheng, the daughter of the Mother Shu Fu Jin Ersai Li clan, and the daughter of Sai Yin Tu) and a daughter (the eldest daughter, the later feudal lord, the mother side Fu Jin Wurut Borjigit clan).

Although Duan Min was the second daughter, she was the eldest daughter of Prince Jian and her status was naturally noble. Just four months after her birth, an earth-shattering event occurred in the palace, Shunzhi deposed his first empress, Borjigit, and a few months later, he welcomed back from the Horqin steppe the second Borjigit clan (only 14 years old) as empress, that is, the later Empress Xiaohuizhang. In the same year, she was sent to the imperial palace by another Borjigit clan, who was later given the title of Princess Shuhui and was the sister of Xiaohui. The new empress was Duan Min's maternal aunt, and Duan Min's identity was naturally different. So she was raised in the palace as a princess at an early age.

In November of the sixteenth year of Shunzhi, the prince of Horqin entered the capital to see his majesty, and the foreman entered the capital, the youngest of the four brothers of Empress Xiaozhuang's mother's compatriots, the king of Zasak Dorodarhan County (Later Jin and Shuodarhan), the palm banner of the left wing of the Horqin Central Banner.

Manzhu Xili was the first King of Dalkhan of the Qing Dynasty, and his deceased ex-wife was the adopted daughter of Emperor Taiji, and his daughter was the mourning concubine of the Shunzhi Emperor (raised in the palace as a child, due to his infancy, Shunzhi died in the fifteenth year, and was posthumously honored as a mourning concubine). The newly established Empress Xiaohuizhang and Concubine Shuhui were both his granddaughters. Xiaozhuang was also courteous to the brother of this mother's compatriot, and in order to maintain the Manchu-Mongolian marriage relationship, xiaozhuang mated Princess Duanmin, who was only 7 years old, to Manzhu Xili's young eldest grandson, Bandi.

Years have passed, time has flown by, and in the blink of an eye, Duan Min has reached the age of 17, and in the past ten years, the people and things around her have also undergone tremendous changes. First, in the seventeenth year of Shunzhi (1660), his father Jidu died at the age of 28, and the 6-year-old Desai (the third son of Prince Jian and the eldest son of Princess Duanmin, Princess Duanmin's half-brother) inherited the title; a few months later, his adoptive father, the Shunzhi Emperor, died, Kangxi succeeded to the throne, two years later his birth mother Borjigit died again, and two years later, the future grandfather Prince Manzhu Xili died, and four years later the future father-in-law and Prince Ta died. At this time, Princess Duanmin had lost almost all the elders who were close to her.

In March of that year, she was most saddened by the death of her only half-brother Desai.

Duan Min's father, Ji Du, has a total of twelve children, and the only one she really regards as a relative is this brother who is a compatriot of her mother. As the eldest daughter of a concubine, she was naturally pampered and habitual, and she was superior everywhere at home, and later entered the palace to become a princess, which became the pride of the entire Prince Jane's palace, and she naturally looked down on those brothers who were out of the house.

Desai died in March of the ninth year of the Kangxi Dynasty at the age of 17, and although he married a relative, he did not leave a son and a half daughter, and the inheritance of the title of Prince Jian in the zhengfang branch was also frustrated.

Prince Jian had five sons, and the three sons who lived at this time, the eldest son Mo Song, the second son Labu, and the fifth son Yabu (the fourth son Muji Gong Shunzhi died in March of the sixteenth year, at the age of 4). Eventually, the second son, Rabu, became the fourth Prince of Jane.

For Duan Min, her only half-brother, whom she regarded as a relative, had died, and for her whoever inherited the title was the same. In September of the ninth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1670), at the same moment when Labu became the new owner of the JianFu, Duan Min was officially married and embarked on a journey to Horqin, where she would spend the next sixty years of peace.

The third King of Darhan Bandi

Since Duan Min's birth mother, adoptive mother, and adoptive grandmother Borjigit were all born in Horqin, Mongolia, the Mongolian language, customs and living habits were very familiar to her, so she quickly adapted to the new environment of her husband's family after marriage.

In the second year of Duan Min's marriage, her husband Bandi inherited the title of Prince of Darhan, and Princess Duan Min also became the female head of the left wing of the Horqin Left Banner.

Before Duan Min got married, because of her noble status and no elder restraint, she gradually developed a style of arrogance and arrogance, and after getting married, she did not converge, and now she has become the first hostess, and she has no scruples. However, due to her identity, no one dared to be dissatisfied with her, let alone bring it up, so Princess Duanmin lived a life of heaven and earth and solipsism in the Horqin Grassland.

In the twentieth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Prince Jian Died (like his father Jidu, he also lived to be 28 years old), and his brother Yabu inherited the title and became the fifth Prince of Jane. This news reached Duan Min's ears and made her extremely disgusted.

Labu and Yabu are half-brothers, the mother of the Jidu Shufu Jinhang clan, the daughter of Weng Puxi. At that time, Shu Fujin was actually a concubine who did not receive any title, and some of them may even be just concubines. Although the Hang clan is not high, it is quite favored, which makes Duan Min's mother, Fu Jin Borjigit, very dissatisfied, and her mother's attitude will naturally affect Duan Min's body.

One year, when Princess Duanmin returned to Beijing Province, Yabu's Fujin Xilin Jue Luoshi came to the palace to ask for peace for her, and as a result, Shesheng was hung in the concierge room by Princess Duanmin for most of the day, and she did not see her face. This Fu Jin was extremely aggrieved and came back to cry to her husband, and Yabu comforted her, saying that Princess Duanmin was born arrogant and arrogant, and no one dared to provoke, and she would not go to the door to touch this moldy head in the future. It can be seen that the relationship between the sister and brother has been quite bad, and they have reached the point where they disdain to maintain a superficial relationship.

In addition to his own half-brothers, Duan Min had the same relationship with Kangxi. Although there is no record of the direct conflict between the two, in the face of her brutal personality, the Kangxi Emperor was probably a hundred unaccustomed. Kangxi Thirty-first (1692), Kangxi set up a guard for some married and surviving princesses according to the rank of Baylor. Among them were the eldest daughter, Princess Chunxi (kangxi's adopted daughter, kangxi married in the twenty-ninth year of the Mongolian Korqin tribe Taiji Borjigit clan bandi, this class is not Duanmin's class), the second daughter Princess Rongxian (birth mother Rongfei Majia, Kangxi thirty years married to the Borjigit clan of the Southern Mongolian Bahraini borjigit clan Urgun), the third daughter Duanjing (birth mother Bu gui ren Zhaojia clan, Kangxi married in October 31 to the karaqin tribe Mongolian Duling county king's second son Uliang Han clan Garzang), and even Shunzhi's aunt Gulun Shuhui Princess who married in the fifth year of Shunzhi. (born to Empress Xiaozhuangwen), but princess Duanmin was missed alone. The reason for this can be seen.

In the forty-ninth year of the Kangxi Dynasty (1710), Duan Min's husband Prince Bandi died, and her son Lobzang Gunbu succeeded to the title of Prince of Darhan. At this time, Princess Duanmin was 57 years old, and it was said that the older people were, the softer they became, but Duanmin's personality did not change in the slightest, and she still went her own way and could not live forever, and the contradictions between people did not improve in the slightest.

Princess Guren Duanmin

In the fifty-sixth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, the sixth Prince of Jian, Yaerjiang'a (whose father Yabu died in the forty-fourth year of Kangxi, nicknamed "Xiu") gave Kangxi a fold, and the content of the fold was probably that Kangxi was going to marry Yarjiang'a's daughter, and Yarjiang'a was very grateful for this, but his only hope was not to give his daughter to Princess Duanmin's son, Cewang Dorji. Because the aunt Princess Duanmin and her father have been at odds for a long time, the two families will be embarrassed after they marry.

When Yabu was a prince, he was loyal and diligent, Kangxi praised him, and he also took great care of his nephew Yaerjiang'a, cultivated with his heart, and in Yaerjiang'a's letters to the Kangxi Emperor, he even called Kangxi "The Emperor's Father" like the princes, which shows that Kangxi values this nephew.

Therefore, at this time, the Kangxi Emperor would obviously be on the side of Yarjiang'a, and he replied in Zhu Ping: Shuo is very aware of this matter, and your request has been remembered. Not only that, Kangxi also added a sentence later: Princess Duanmin has a well-behaved and violent temperament, not only your father, she is at odds with everyone.

However, Princess Duanmin had a good relationship with the fourth son of the Emperor, Yin Chan, the later Yongzheng Emperor, and the main reason for this was that in the late Kangxi Dynasty's Nine Sons, Yaerjiang'a supported the Eighth Son of the Emperor Yin, that is, Yongzheng's opponent, and Duan Min hated his half-brother very much, and then hated everyone supported by his brother, and the enemy of the enemy was a friend, so he naturally walked with Yin Chan.

After Yongzheng succeeded to the throne, in the first year of Yongzheng (1723), Duanmin was crowned Princess of Gulun, and it should be known that the title of Gulun was the only treatment for the daughter of the empress. Although Yongzheng's entry into the seal has its political significance, it also shows that the relationship between the two is definitely good.

On May 18, the seventh year of Yongzheng (1729), Princess Duanmin died at the age of seventy-seven, finally completing her life of arrogance and nobility, and she was also the longest-lived princess of the Qing Dynasty.
