On October 23, Wu Peng, secretary of the party group of the Municipal Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, used the weekend break to lead a team to investigate the construction planning of major projects in Xiaogan Urban Area. Bureau leaders Luo Zhiwen and Chen Qiang participated in the investigation.

Wu Peng and his party successively went to Qiaoxiao Expressway Extension Line, Beijing South Road, Huaiyin Avenue, Long March South Road and other places to inspect the progress of project construction and listen to reports on project planning.

Wu Peng pointed out that it is necessary to adhere to the planning first, focus on the implementation of the major decisions and deployments of the municipal party committee and the municipal government, and optimize the spatial layout in combination with the preparation of the overall land and spatial plan, and ensure that major projects are implemented in the planning. Wu Peng stressed that it is necessary to strictly plan and control, strengthen the planning and control of important nodes in the city, grasp the law, retain the background, and highlight the characteristics; it is necessary to strengthen the linkage between the city and the district, adhere to the chess game of the city and the district, deepen the planning and preparation of key urban projects, and promote the deep integration of planning. Wu Peng demanded that it is necessary to strictly implement the plan, adhere to the statutory principles of planning, improve and perfect the rules for planning deliberation and decision-making, strengthen the supervision after the approval of the plan, resolutely stop the violation of the plan, build a long-term mechanism for planning management, and promote the high-quality development of Xiaogan.
