As we were visiting Afol over the weekend, the james Webb Space TELESCOPE (JWST) successfully crossed the 10,000-vote threshold, becoming the 11th entry into the third round of review on the 2021 LEGO Idea platform. The Idea account with the ID tonysmyuncle was registered in December 2018 and fell silent for a long time afterwards. It wasn't until the end of July 2021 that the design was uploaded to the platform, kicking off the road to fundraising. Amazingly, as of last Friday, it had only raised 6,200 votes, but after he then tweeted about six hours later, it took only about six hours to get the remaining votes. The telescope took a total of 84 days to enter the review phase.
However, there is no more information about the author behind this ID, but only that his professional or work direction is related to astronomy.
Tonysmyuncle is based on the real James Webb Space Telescope, recreating it with Lego bricks. However, it is not clear the specific number of particles, it is estimated to be close to 3,000 pieces, nor is it clear whether the specific plan is for the doll, although there is one in the picture, but it is not introduced in the description text.
