Zheng Successfully set up an empty chair on his throne, and two days later the emperor was strangled to death by Wu Sangui

Born in 1624 in Hirado, Japan, Zheng Chenggong was educated in Japanese Bushido. After the age of 7, he was taken back to China, 14-year-old Zhongxiucai, and at the age of 19, he entered the Nanjing GuoziJian and worshiped Qian Qianyi as a teacher. At the age of 20, he was summoned by Emperor Longwu of the Southern Ming Dynasty and given the surname Zhu.

In order to compete with the Qing court, Zheng Chenggong single-handedly created a military group, which even included "six departments".

Zheng Chenggong had a black army as a bodyguard, these people were strong and skilled in the use of muskets, directly under himself. He also had an "Iron Man Army", clad in Japanese armor and armed with a samurai sword. This is a "Zheng family army" that is loyal to the Southern Ming royal family.

In 1659, Zheng Chenggong personally led a large army in the Northern Expedition, conquered Zhenjiang, and besieged Nanjing. Two months later, Qing reinforcements arrived, and Zheng Chenggong was not used to land warfare, suffered heavy losses, and could only withdraw.

In 1661, when Kangxi ascended the throne, Zheng sent Huang Wu to the "relocation order", removing all the people within fifty miles of the coast from Shandong to Guangdong, and at the same time destroying ships and turning the coast into no man's land, so that Zheng Successfully lost food supplies.

In desperation, Zheng Chenggong led a fleet to attack Taiwan through Penghu. In the winter of that year, the Qing auxiliary minister Suksaha beheaded 11 members of the Zheng family, including Zheng Zhilong. In February 1662, the Dutch surrendered to Zheng Chenggong. On May 29, Zheng Chenggong announced the establishment of the "Eastern Capital Mingjing" in Taiwan, that is, the Eastern Capital of the Ming Empire. He set up an empty chair on his throne for the Yongli Emperor. Two days later, the Yongli Emperor was strangled to death with a bowstring by Wu Sangui in Kunming.

On June 23, under the hatred of the national enemy and the family, Zheng Chenggong died suddenly at the age of 38.
