On November 12, the Yangtze River Wild Fish Breeding and Domestication Science and Technology Promotion Conference was held in Wuhan.
Hubei is a major aquatic province, and its aquatic product output has ranked first in the country for 24 consecutive years. However, the fishery culture in Hubei Province has long relied on four large fish, and the production of bulk freshwater fish is too large and the price is low, which has become the main factor restricting Hubei Province's leap from a large aquatic province to a strong aquatic province. The breeding and domestication of wild fish in the Yangtze River is an important measure to promote the high-quality development of fisheries in Hubei and increase the income of fishermen.

The reporter learned from the meeting that after the ban on fishing in the key waters of the Yangtze River Basin, Hubei Province gave full play to the scientific research advantages of the Institute of Aquatic Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Huanong, and the Provincial Institute of Water Sciences, and successfully bred and domesticated six kinds of wild fish on the Yangtze River, including Shatang fish (commonly known as Tu XianBa), largefin turtle (commonly known as stone slab head and stone flat head), copper fish (commonly known as golden loach and copper money fish), Yangtze River knife fish (commonly known as knife fish), periwinkle (commonly known as bream), and long-snouted fish (commonly known as Jiangtuan).
Lin Weihua, second-level inspector of hubei agricultural development center, said that it is planned to establish 4 yangtze river wild fish breeding bases, 4 breeding and domestication bases and 3 promotion demonstration bases in three years; reserve 115,000 yangtze river wild fish parents, cultivate 103.4 million large-scale yangtze river wild fish fry; introduce 126,000 knife fish fry; form large-scale artificial breeding and fry breeding technology of tuxian ba and shi biantou, and large-scale breeding technology of adult fish of tuxian ba, shibiantou, golden loach and knife fish. The large-scale promotion of technical regulations for grass bream and river groups, the cultivation of wild fish in the Yangtze River commercial fish 407 tons, laying a solid foundation for the artificial breeding and product development of wild fish in the Yangtze River.

In order to bring the artificially farmed Jiangxian to the people's table as soon as possible, Gao Zexia, deputy dean and professor of the College of Fisheries of Huazhong Agricultural University, said: "The cultivation and breeding mode of wild fish fry also needs to be tackled by scientific researchers, the prevention and control of diseases, the demand for feed, and finally how to bring the commercial fish farmed to the market, so that our consumers love this fish, are all problems that need to be considered and urgently solved." ”
The breeding and domestication of characteristic fish in the Yangtze River Basin can not only effectively solve the problem of increasing the production and quality of aquatic products in Hubei, but also promote the implementation of the ten-year ban on fishing in the Yangtze River and the implementation of major national policies for the protection of the Yangtze River. "From June this year, the planning began, through extensive listening to the opinions and suggestions of experts, in-depth field investigation and research, and finally selected 6 species of wild fish in the Yangtze River." Zheng Guorong, member of the party group and deputy director of the Hubei Provincial Agricultural Development Center, said, "At present, the breeding and domestication of wild fish in the Yangtze River in Hubei is making full use of the advantages of local science and technology and water resources, and has formulated an implementation plan for scientific and technological research, and the breeding work is progressing smoothly. ”
