Manchester City are not a favourite team to use their own academy, and for many years only Phil Foden has been able to establish himself. However, the Blue Moon's youth training work is also quite good, and the current Manchester United Jadon Sancho, former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, Leicester City's Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel and other famous players are trained in Manchester City's academy, but failed to get a chance in the parent team. In Europe's five major leagues, there are 20 Manchester City youth players, although most of them are not wearing blue moon suits, but they can also be regarded as glorious ancestors.

Manchester United's youth training has always been outstanding, and the "Seven Little Blessings" in the early years won the 1999 Triple Crown for Manchester United. Until now, there are still many outstanding youth training products in the Manchester United squad, such as Marcus Rashford, Marcus Rashford, Scott McTominay, Dean Henderson, all of which are the team's proud productions (in fact, Pogba is also). Chelsea launched their "youth storm" after Lampard took office, and there are many youth training players in the team, such as Mason Mount, Reece James, Andreas Christensen, Rubin Loftus-Cheek, Trevo Chaloba and Hudson-Odoi, all of whom have important strategic positions under Thomas Tuchel. The departed Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, Dekran Rice and Natan Acre are also the big players of their respective teams; Connor Gallagher, Billy Gilmour and Armando Broa, who have left the team, are all able to return to their parent team in the coming season to compete for a place.
