On the morning of the 26th, Wancheng BBK Primary School Wancao e Expo Park opened. It is reported that this is also the first campus intangible cultural heritage theme venue in Dongguan, and it will have a richer connotation in the future - to build a full-media experiential learning model of Guancao culture and weaving skills, so that more students can conduct deep learning and exploration without leaving home.
A new horizon of learning outside the classroom
Guancao weaving technique is a traditional handicraft in Dongguan, which has a history of more than 2,000 years and is an intangible cultural heritage of Guangdong Province.
Wancheng BBK Primary School integrates Guancao with multiple disciplines to develop a characteristic "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Guanzhou Culture", and was selected as one of the top ten fine cases of Guangdong Province's Intangible Cultural Heritage Campus in 2020.
In the practice of the intangible cultural heritage school curriculum, Wancheng BBK Primary School found that resource integration and platform construction are an effective way to comprehensively promote the practice of the school curriculum. Therefore, last year, the school excavated multiple resources and began to build the Wancao e Expo Park and build a diversified platform.
Wancao e Expo Garden tells the story of Wancao in a special way with three parts: "Wancao Past Life", "Wancao Present Life" and "Wancao Outlook".
Entering the Wancao e Expo Garden, one by one Wancao weaving intangible cultural heritage "small inheritors" are seriously creating. In the hands of the children, the delicate Wancao has taken on a new meaning, giving the millennium Wancao a new life.
Lin Yuetong, a student in class five (6), began to learn Wancao weaving in the third grade, and now she has been able to skillfully create exquisite stickers with Wancao. "There is not only a wealth of knowledge of Wancao here, but also a lot of excellent Wancao weaving works, whether it is learning to appreciate other works, or creating by yourself, this will become a new world for me and my friends to learn outside the classroom." Developed a series of Wancao traditional culture education micro-courses
In the planning of Wancheng BBK Primary School, in the future, Wancao e Expo Park will have a richer connotation.
"The school's construction of Wancao e Expo Park is to provide more real learning environment and diversified learning resources for teachers and students." Zeng Lianchun, the person in charge of Wancao E Expo Park, said that down, Wancheng BBK Primary School will further build a full-media experience learning model of Wancao culture and weaving skills, develop three series of "Wancao cultural skills", "Wancao cultural education" and "Wancao cultural appreciation" three series of Wancao traditional culture education micro-courses, build a Wancao traditional culture course resource library, and build an online and offline internet information learning platform, so that more students can conduct deep learning and exploration without leaving home. In addition, the school also plans to introduce other intangible cultural heritage projects into the Wancao e Expo Park to strengthen interaction and exchanges and create a new chapter in the "Guan" culture.

Yin Fengkui, principal of Wancheng BBK Primary School, introduced that in 2017, Wancao entered the school classroom, and the school began to explore the beauty of traditional culture for students to enjoy in the study of Wancao curriculum. In the past five years, from club learning to full coverage of students, from classrooms to courses, from single disciplines of art to the integration of all disciplines, this little grass has become a bright campus cultural business card.
