The northwest of Xingyang City, Fenshui Town, Gaoshan Town, Wangcun Town and Gaocun Town are included in the Upper Block, which and the Upper Block have historically belonged to Shuishui County and later Chenggao County, which are feasible from the perspective of history, social environment, and cultural conditions, and the adjustment involves less area and is better to operate in comparison.
After the adjustment, the area of the upper block can be increased to about 400 square kilometers, and the population can also increase to about 400,000, which not only bids farewell to the situation that the upper block is on the verge of being abolished due to the scale of the pocket, but also moderately expands the development space, and can also be seen as the recurrence of the thousand-year-old county of Fenshui County. After being incorporated into Fenshui Town, the upper block may be considered renamed As Fenshui District. Although Shangjie is an ancient place name derived from the Ming Dynasty, in terms of history and culture, the name of Fenshui is even older, because the territory has both FenshuiGuan (Hujiaoguan) and the name of Fenshui County, which has been used for more than a thousand years; Fenshui ancient name is Fenshui, written after the Eastern Han Dynasty, originating in the southeast of Gongyi City, and injecting the Yellow River into the west of Fenshui Town, and Fenshui County and Fenshui Town are named after it.
Shangjie District is located in the northwest of Zhengzhou City in central Henan Province, surrounded by Gongyi City, Xingyang City, "Dictionary of Ancient and Modern Chinese Place Names" records: because of the name of the Longhai Railway Shangjie Station in the territory, the railway station originated from the name of Shangjie Village, MingWuzong was flooded three times in Fengshui County, and was moved three times to the higher-lying Luyi temple street market, people went up and down, and then the convention was established, calling the street market of Luyi Temple Shangjie (Shangjie Village). The district administers 5 streets and 1 town: Jiyuan Road Street, Zhongxin Road Street, Xin'an Road Street, Industrial Road Street, Mine Street, Xiawo Town; the district people's government station Jiyuan Road Street Center Road is 38 kilometers away from the center of Zhengzhou, with a total area of 64.7 square kilometers, and the permanent population of Qipu is 197,300.
The territory has a long history, the Xia Dynasty belonged to Yuzhou, the Shang Dynasty belonged to the land of The Hustle, the Western Zhou belonged to the Eastern Zhou, the Spring and Autumn Period belonged to the Zheng Kingdom, the Warring States belonged to the Korean Chenggao, and the Qin Dynasty began to belong to Chenggao County. In the eighteenth year of the Sui Kai Emperor (598), Chenggao County was renamed Fenshui County, because the water flowed from the southeast and north of Gongyi to the yellow river into the Yellow River, and in the fourth year of the Tang Dynasty (688), it was renamed Guangwu County, and in the first year of shenlong (705), it was reverted to Fenshui County; In October 1948, Fenshui County and Guangwu County were merged into Chenggao County, which belonged to it. In 1954, Chenggao County was merged with Xingyang County, and the district border belonged to the fifth district of Xingyang County.
In August 1958, Zhengzhou Shangjie District was established, with 11 natural villages under the jurisdiction of Langzhonggou, Renzhuang, Zuozhaogou, Xijiaoduan, Niezhai, Dongmagu and Shicun Townships of Zhoucun Township, Xingyang County, including Xiahou, Baima Temple, Zuozhao, and Baiyang Township, 20 Lipu and Dayuan, with an area of 11.42 square kilometers at that time; in December of the same year, Xingyang County's Ximagu Village was included.
In January 1959, 21 natural villages (with an area of 30.46 square kilometers) including Shangjie Village, Dongbaishe and Wuzhuang in Xingyang County were incorporated and merged with Shangjie Commune to form Magu Commune. Gong County (Gongyi City) Xinzhong, Xiaoguan, Mihe and other 320 natural villages (70.95 square kilometers) were included, and Xinzhong Commune was established.
In June 1961, Magu Commune was divided into Magu Commune and Xia Wo Commune, and Xinzhong Commune was divided into five communes, including Xinzhong, Xiaoguan, Mihe, Tea Shop and Xiaolihe.
In January 1962, 26 natural villages (with an area of 11.8 square kilometers) including Chaizhaigou, Mulberry Slope and Zhangqinggang of Liuhe Commune in Xingyang County were included and Established Xiaozhai Commune; in February of the same year, the Xuezhuang, Heilongtan and Moling Brigade Yanzhuang Production Teams of Dayugou Commune in Gongxian County (an area of 4.12 square kilometers) were assigned and established in Dayugou Commune, Shangjie District; in March, the Central Road Street and Mine Street were established.
In June 1963, Magu Commune was merged into Xia Wo Commune, and Chadian Commune was merged into Xinzhong Commune.
In June 1964, the five communes of Dayugou, Xiaoguan, Xinzhong, Mihe and Xiaolihe were assigned to Gong County; 23 brigades of Xiaozhai Commune and Xiawo Commune were assigned to Xingyang County.
In February 1971, the street of Central Road was divided into Jiyuan Road Street Street and Anti-Repair Road Street (renamed Xin'an West Road Street in September 1980).
In 2001, Niezhai Township was changed to Zhongxin Road Street and Industrial Road Street.
