It is understood that the two new buildings built this time are designed to provide teachers and students with high-quality scientific research and teaching equipment, and help the sustainable development of life science, medicine and pharmaceutical research and innovation. In order to thank Dr. Lui Che Woo for his dedicated care and contribution to the development of Tsinghua University, Tsinghua University named the building "LUI Che Woo Lou".

Chen Xu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, said in his speech that Dr. Lui supported tsinghua university in building a new medical science building, Lui ZhiHe Building, which fully reflected Dr. Lui's strong educational feelings and deep friendship with Tsinghua University. She believes that the future use of "Lui Chi Ho Building" will surely lay an important foundation for the development of Tsinghua University's medical disciplines and provide strong and powerful support for Tsinghua University's medicine to become world-class.

Dr. Lui Che Woo spoke as a donor, and the 89-year-old elderly man, who spoke Mandarin mixed with Cantonese and was not very fluent, insisted on standing for nearly 20 minutes and gave a wonderful speech to the teachers, students and guests attending the meeting.

In his speech, he recalled the ordeals of war he had experienced when he was young, witnessed the dignity and life of his compatriots being arbitrarily trampled and slaughtered, and sighed: Why is the fate of Chinese so difficult! At that time, a simple answer still vividly remembered him: because Chinese were illiterate and would do nothing but work as coolies. This sentence deeply stung his heart, and since then, he has determined to do his best for China's education in the future. "As an elder, A person who has gone through the ups and downs, I still have a young heart that embraces and creates the future..." Speaking of emotion, the elderly man choked up several times and burst into tears.

Choosing to donate a new building to Tsinghua, Dr. Lui Chi Ho has his own ideas, he said: "Tsinghua University is committed to cultivating first-class talents with world vision and social awareness, and becoming a world-class university, and the purpose of Lide Shuren coincides with the concept I uphold, so it contributed to this decision to support the donation of the Biomedical Museum." The School of Life Sciences, School of Medicine and School of Pharmacy of Tsinghua University are the top cutting-edge scientific research and academic institutions in China, and I look forward to this intention to promote the further academic research and application of Tsinghua University, and to bring encouragement to the improvement of soft power such as the spirit of scientific research and innovation. ”

In his speech, Dr. Lui Chi Ho called on young people not only to have "hard power" in the professional field, but also to have the "soft power" of sound character to serve the country and society, and he sincerely appealed to everyone: we should strengthen moral cultivation while promoting knowledge education; strengthen humanistic care while pursuing scientific and technological innovation; and strengthen social civilization construction while promoting commercial economy to benefit mankind...

In the morning, the signing ceremony of Lui Zhihe Building of Tsinghua University Biomedical Hall was successfully held, Chen Xu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, and Yang Bin, Vice President of Tsinghua University, signed a donation agreement with Dr. Lui Zhihe on behalf of Tsinghua University and Tsinghua University Education Foundation, and Tsinghua University issued a donation certificate to Dr. Lui Zhihe, and the two sides exchanged gifts.

After the signing ceremony of the donation agreement, Dr. Lui Che Woo held a dialogue with Professor Yang Bin, Vice President of Tsinghua University, under the title of "The Way of Successful Leadership: The Practice of Convergence of Common Purposes". Combining his entrepreneurial experience, Dr. Lui shared the values of convergence with teachers and students. He recounted the ideas and insights of more than 60 years of contributing to the world by promoting business sustainability, giving back to the community and establishing the international award "LUI Che Woo Prize - World Civilization Award".
