Tian Han is the lyricist of the national anthem of the People's Republic of China, "March of the Volunteer Army", one of the three founders of modern Chinese drama, an outstanding proletarian cultural fighter, and an excellent communist party member.

Tian Han's former residence is located in the former Changsha Dongxiang Tianjiayuan Maoping (now Changsha County Guoyuan Town), which was founded in 1820. The existing building was rebuilt in 2005 based on the archaeological results of the site, which basically restores the historical style of that year.

On March 12, 1898, Tian Han was born here, because Tian's mother Yi Keqin's first child died prematurely, so the family was very precious to this belated child, afraid of any more mistakes, so named "Shouchang", hoping that he could grow up healthily and safely.

In 1911, Tian Shouchang changed his name to "Tian Han" and was admitted to the preparatory department of Changsha Xiuye Middle School, which is the Han of the Han nationality. From this time on, a child from a peasant family was determined to change his name and go out of the countryside, hoping to realize the volunteer of serving the country.

In 1916, Tian Han studied in Japan under the recommendation of his uncle Yi Xiang, and after returning to China, he launched the Southern Drama Movement in Shanghai. For decades, he wrote books and finally became a titan of drama and an anthem author.

Next to the main entrance of the former residence, two pieces of Tian family rules and family training, "Heavy Filial Piety, Dun Shan Xing, Dun Zhongxin", this is not only the excellent family style passed down from generation to generation of the Tian family, but also encourages the descendants of the Tian family to inherit the legacy of their ancestors, not forget the original intention, inherit the past and open up the future, and work hard in different posts.

Today, Tian Han's hometown of Changsha County will also inherit the good moral character of these literati martyrs, let social morality, professional ethics, family virtues, and personal morality penetrate the hearts of the people, build a "city of good people with virtue and sand," and let the residents of Changsha County live in a humanistic place with temperature, a place with a high degree of civilization, and a spiritual home with connotations.
