Capital is hailed as the greatest theoretical work of Marx's life and a brilliant scientific masterpiece in the treasure house of Marxist theory. The complete translation of the Chinese capital greatly promoted the spread of Marxist theory in China, so that this great work of Marx played an important guiding role in the revolution, construction and reform led by the Communist Party of China.

During his time at Daxia University, Guo Dali majored in philosophy and met many progressive people. Especially under the influence of the philosopher Li Shicen, Guo Dali began to contact Marxism and tried to translate Capital. The failure of the first domestic revolution made Guo Dali deeply feel the importance of Marxist theory to the Chinese revolution, and he was determined to translate Marx's important work "Capital" into a complete translation to the Chinese people.

From August to September 1938, the first full translation of capital translated by Guo Dali and Wang Yanan Chinese was published in Shanghai, and the classic Work of Marxism, Capital, was finally displayed in full form in front of Chinese people.
