He Zhendai, a prominent figure in the Guangxu dynasty of the Qing Dynasty, who was good at poetry and painting a good piano, was a temple army figure of the "same light body" Min school of poets, with more than 1,000 existing poems, majoring in "West Lake Zhi" and re-revising "Fujian Tongzhi", which can be called the literary hero of Fuzhou from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. There were many disciples, and the famous "Eight Talented Women" in Fuzhou and the revolutionary martyr Wu Shi all came from his disciples.

He Zhendai was also a ghostwriter dedicated to Chen Baochen, the "Guangxu Emperor's Master". Chen Baochen praised his article: "The masterpiece is clear and gentle, and the angle of the mouth is fragrant." In Beijing that year, many high-ranking officials and dignitaries asked Chen Baochen to write articles, and the remuneration was high, but Chen Baochen was over 80 years old and had little energy, so he let He Zhendai ghostwrite, and the remuneration was not cheap.
Keep the festival and do not return
During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Fuzhou fell twice, and He Zhendai was seriously ill and had difficulties in life. The Japanese wanted to hire him as an adviser, and he angrily rebuked him. When his friend became a traitor, he burned all his correspondence and drew a line. When Chiang Kai-shek was sixty years old, Liu Jianxu, chairman of the Fujian Provincial Government, asked He Zhendai to write an article on his behalf, with a pen fee of 3,000, and He Zhendai was willing to be poor and unwilling to flatter.
Exquisite and compact
He Zhendai's former residence is located in Fuzhou Wenrufang, 525 square meters, two entrances before and after, the scale is not large, but the characteristics of Fuzhou Ancient House are obvious, and the northern mansions usually do not have corridors, pavilions, pavilions, and the halls are relatively dark. Fuzhou Ancient House Hall is relatively tall and large, facing the patio, smooth and bright. In addition, because of the rain and sunshine, the main building in the house has a gallery and a pavilion, and the interaction between the buildings is very vivid. Therefore, although the room of He Zhendai's former residence is small, it is cleverly arranged and the spatial layout is very decent.
In the summer of 1948, a huge flood occurred in Fuzhou, Wenrufang was low-lying, and the water flooded the eaves, and He Zhendai squatted in a wooden basin and drifted all night. The next morning, the disciple rented a wooden boat to rescue the teacher from the flood.
However, this is only an occasional situation, the courtyard of the house, the underground ditch of the roadway, and the dense inland river network constitute a complete drainage system of three lanes and seven lanes.
