"Yak Revolution" takes the famous "Yak Revolution" that took place in Aba Prefecture during the Red Army's Long March into the Chuankang area as the main plot line, with the real historical events of grain requisition as the background, the Red Army as the smooth northward journey to the Soviet Area, and the local people, toastmasters, and religious figures in Songpan Meadow (now the Aba Yellow River Grassland) as the theme, through what the grain collection detachment saw, heard, and felt, and truly recounted the tragic and magnificent history of the Red Army's experience of climbing the snowy mountains and crossing the grasslands.
The main creative team mentioned at the press conference that the Aba area was the area with the largest number of Red Army passes through and the longest stay time during the Long March, and it is also the area with the most difficult natural environmental conditions and the most acute struggle within the party during the Long March, which has cast the great spirit of snowy mountains and grasslands. During the Yan'an period and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, Mao Zedong repeatedly spoke highly of the revolutionary contributions of the Tibetan and Qiang Hui and Han people of all ethnic groups when the Red Army climbed snow-capped mountains and crossed meadows, and fondly praised it as a unique "yak revolution" in the history of the Chinese revolution.
The director of this drama is Liang Qun, a national first-class choreographer who served as the choreographer of the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games.
