On the 19th floor of the Scientific Research and Design Center Building of the Zhongnan Architectural Design Institute, the youth of the Engineering Digital Technology Center of the Institute was bursting——

16 employees, the average age is less than 30 years old, some wear personalized fashion brands, some carry internet red milk tea, like walking into the office of an Internet company.

Zhang Shen, director of the Engineering Digital Technology Center, is less than 40 years old. Since the official establishment of the center in 2018, he led the team to explore in the fields of engineering design software research and development, helping the Group accelerate the transformation and upgrading of "digital infrastructure".

Most of the design institutes are architectural design or civil engineering majors, and digital transformation urgently needs digital technology talents such as programming, algorithms and artificial intelligence. What to do?

Self-cultivation and social recruitment "two legs" walk. Through the joint efforts of schools and enterprises, the Engineering Digital Technology Center has established academician experts, postdoctoral and graduate workstations, transformed the jointly trained doctors and masters into regular employees, and recruited social R&D talents by participating in academic conferences, scientific and technological exhibitions and other publicity of R&D achievements.

Zhang Shen believes that the most important thing for a good team is to let its ordinary team members create extraordinary performance. "Digital Portraits" find talent

In order to meet the needs of the industry's digital transformation, Hubei Provincial Institute of Building Research and Design (hereinafter referred to as "Provincial Construction Research Institute"), a subsidiary of Zhongnan Design Group, made an article on the "cloud training" of employees.

At present, there are more than 8,000 engineering testing and technical personnel in our province, and the inspector induction certificate is valid for three years, and the training on the job has become the just need of each engineering testing unit. To this end, the Provincial Construction Research Institute has built the "Provincial Construction Research Institute Online Education Integration Management Platform", which includes 275 normative standards involved in the industry, 23-hour theoretical and practical videos by business category, more than 30,000 sets of standardized test questions, and developed teachers, students, and training management ports.

In view of the pain points of online education and training, the platform introduces offline real scenes, and strengthens the practical ability drills of testing industry personnel by hosting on-site observation meetings for the ability evaluation of quality inspection personnel in Hubei Province, and promotes the integration of online and offline education.

With the support of big data, the Provincial Construction Research Institute can evaluate the quality of the course by learning the independent completion rate, analyze the shortcomings of the trainees' ability by evaluating the data, and create a digital training model for thousands of people through the "digital portrait" of posts and personnel, providing data support for the industry to cultivate talents and select talents.

Keep an eye on the famous schools to cultivate "good seedlings"

Zhang Yun, secretary of the party committee and general manager of Zhongnan Design Group, believes that in order to build a leading enterprise of science and technology, it is necessary to promote the transformation of talent concept from group management to market-oriented services, the transformation of talent work from the expansion of "quantity" to the improvement of "quality", the transformation of talent construction from "following" to "running and running" and "leading", the transformation of talent pursuit from personal value realization to the feeling of planting a family and a country, and cultivating a group of Zhongnan designers who "can hold their minds steady, endure loneliness, and sit on the cold bench".
