This square seal, horizontal painting to the extreme, even the vertical pen water characters often used in ordinary days, but also master Huang turned horizontal, of course, this is not only the square of the Han seal, but also the influence of some Zhejiang school glyphs, and the chapter law, the taste of the Hui school is not light.

Huang Shiling's creation has both the foundation of the Han seal, and the content of the Qin Quan's edict, and also the two Han Jijin characters, so it is not only the neatness of the Han seal, but also some danger and agility, so we will find a place that beats surprisingly in roughly every seal, which is different from Zhao Zhiqian in the same period, and Wang Guan, the predecessor of the Ming Dynasty, did not do this.
Li Yinsang, a student of Huang Shiling, once commented on the difference between Zhao Zhiqian and Huang Shiling, saying: "The study of sorrow is in Zhenshi, and the study of Yishan is in Jijin; the merit of sorrow is below Qin and Han, and the merit of Yishan is more than three generations."
