Under the kapok tree at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Guangzhou, Sun Yat-sen's great-nephew Sun Yali told reporters that China has gone a very difficult road and will face many challenges in the future.
Guangdong is the hometown of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, and the revolution he led began in Guangdong. From the birthplace of the Xinhai Revolution to one of the most developed provinces in China today, the earth-shaking changes that have taken place in Guangdong over the past hundred years are also the epitome of China's revolutionary construction. Recently, some members of the guest delegation to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution visited Guangzhou and Zhongshan in Guangdong Province to reminisce about the past and the present.
The guards lined up and the crowd solemnly observed, and the delegation held a solemn worship ceremony in the sun yat-sen memorial square and presented flower baskets to the bronze statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. After sorting out the flower basket ribbons, Sun Yat-sen's great-grandson Wang Zhihong said that Dr. Sun Yat-sen has struggled all his life to realize the "justice of the world", and although today's era is completely different from the era in which he lived, these four words still inspire the Chinese people and are still the goal of the Chinese people. "These four words also remind us to continue to inherit the spirit of Sun Yat-sen and move forward in unity."
"The mighty spirit lives on forever". The Huanghuagang Seventy-Two Martyrs Cemetery in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, commemorates the martyrs who died in the 1911 "March 29" Uprising. The delegation walked slowly across the 230-meter axis to pay tribute to the pioneers of the revolution. Qiu Haozhang, the son of Qiu Zhe, a revolutionary hero of the Huanghuagang Uprising, often came here with his fathers to commemorate him when he was a child, and he told that 110 years ago, his fathers followed Dr. Sun Yat-sen to launch and participate in the Xinhai Revolution, and our generation witnessed the Chinese Communist Party inheriting Dr. Sun Yat-sen's legacy, the Chinese nation from standing up and getting rich to becoming strong, and the long-cherished wishes of the fathers of the Xinhai Revolution have been or are being realized step by step.
In the memorial hall of Sun Yat-sen's former residence in Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan City, a sour tree is full of life. In 1883, Dr. Sun Yat-sen brought back from Honolulu and planted tree species. According to the docent of the memorial hall, over the years, the staff of the memorial hall have continuously cultivated new branches of this sour tree to ensure the long-term survival of the trees planted by Mr. Nakayama himself.
"The trees are thicker." 10 years ago, Liang Guanjun, vice president of the China Overseas Friendship Association and chairman of the Federation of Chinese Associations in the East of the United States, visited here, and he sighed that the trees in the park are very similar to the development of the motherland and flourish; for the vast number of overseas Chinese, commemorating the Xinhai Revolution is to carry forward the spirit of Mr. Zhongshan, unite and cooperate, and jointly contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Zhang Zongzhen, a macao guest representative and vice president of the China Non-Governmental Chamber of Commerce, told the China News Agency that Zhongshan City, the hometown of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, is now an important city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is a historical opportunity for Hong Kong and Macao to integrate into the overall situation of national development, and it is also a major opportunity for Hong Kong and Macao to achieve economic take-off.
Xu Rongmao, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and vice president of the China Overseas Friendship Association, said that it is a great honor to participate in such an activity of profound significance with the descendants of all the ancestors, compatriots in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and representatives of overseas Chinese; looking forward to the new era, we will more adhere to our patriotic convictions, have the courage to blaze new trails, and strive for the country's modernization drive.
The smoke cleared. Under the night sky, the Canton Tower, known as the "Little Wild Waist", shines in brilliant colors on the banks of the Pearl River, and Guangdong is full of vitality in the lights. (End)
