"The Grand Hotel" is the first dance theater work written and performed by young dancer Li Xing and co-directed with young dancer Li Chao. Seven dancers: Li Xing, Li Qian, Li Yanchao, Xie Xin, Hu Jie, Yu Jianwei, Peng Jie, and stage designer Taneda Yangping, lighting design Tom. Tom Visser, music design Liu Tong, graphic design Huang Hai, fashion design EIN ready-to-wear customization... and so on to create this work.
"The Grand Hotel" tells the story of seven people with different identities and personalities who staged a Rashomon-like story of "the truth you think is just what you think" in the relatively closed environment of the "Grand Hotel".
Tian Qinxin, a first-class director of the National Theatre of China, commented after watching "The Grand Hotel": "From the 1970s, the goddess of German dance theater Pina. Bausch shocked the world with "Mueller Cafe", and for more than forty years, tonight's National Centre for the Performing Arts Theater "The Grand Hotel" makes the name "Dance Theater" shine. Zhao Ming, a famous director and vice chairman of the Dance Association, used "the dance of persistence, the dance of pursuit, the dance of joy, and the dance of life" to describe "The Grand Hotel".
