When the information of the new crown epidemic gradually faded from the public's vision, the mask covering the face leaked into the cold wind, I broke free from the buried fog, looked at the distant golden autumn poplar, with tears, with longing, but how can not see the dawn of redemption, the shackles once again firmly tied my heart.
I have heard that "the new crown virus can't find such a remote place as Alxa." That was a verbal joke in 2019; I have witnessed the words "Wuhan refueling" hanging from the large trucks pulling donations from my hometown; and imagined that in the small town of Ejina banner, our family lived a relatively rich life forever. The sun falls and the moon rises, like the quicksand of time and space repeating the same mistakes, and the grains of dust of history fall on Alxa and zero on my heart.
On October 18, a total of two cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. My father put on a mask and a party emblem on his chest and began to evacuate and guard the front line of the nucleic acid test in Ejina. In the past, every day at noon, I could hear my father and I chatting kindly, although they were not together, but across the long telephone line, I received every bit of warmth. Now, my father is busy with the COVID-19 epidemic, and there is only a long waiting room on the other end of the phone...
On October 22, a total of 23 cases of covid-19 were confirmed, and the virus was raging for a while. People were once in a state of panic, and the streets could no longer be described as faint and noisy, it was simply empty, and only the noise from the scattered nucleic acid testing points became the only breath in the town. I looked at the video sent by netizens, the crowd was like being split by the big wave, and then pieced together into a long dragon, the helplessness, fear, and nervousness on their faces could only be melted into silent prayers under the cover of masks. I looked at the scene in front of me and finally understood that Guotai Min'an was full of traffic and people.
On 24 October, a cumulative total of 43 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. I could barely hear my father's calls, and I didn't dare to distract him by passing on my concerns in a time of urgency. His father sent him a selfie during a short break in the afternoon, the mask casting a deep and shallow mark on his face, the harsh sunlight shining directly into his eyes, his brow locked, and the protective suit signed "I am a party member." Suddenly from kind to strange, is that not Wuhan? Isn't that far from us? Why did the father frown? Why did I go home in the early hours of the morning? Why is it not dawn and is back at work... Looking at the growing number of confirmed cases, I can only silently pray that my father on the front line will always be safe.
